Hello …. Going on our 9th cruise in 28 days ! Our first since pre-Covid. Our first staying concierge. It’s the 5 night from San Diego to Vancouver. We stay concierge at the Disney hotels all the time so I get what they do. My questions are :
  1. Can get beer /wine any time of the day or only when it’s serving time ? Can I get a mimosa at 10-11am 🙂. If I tip them , will that help lol

  2. Do they have bud light , Michelob ultra, riesling or moscato

  3. What types of other offering are out , i.e. snack / horderves?

    thanks in advance.

1. Not wine, because there is no barman outside of happy hour. But there are beers in the fridges below the buffet. The hosts will surely get you one from there if you want one outside of the times where they are made available. It is certainly not customary to tip the hosts every time they help you. You are expected to tip them only at the end of the cruise.

2. Yes to all but, not being a beer drinker, I’m not sure about the Michelob. If they have it onboard but not in the lounge, they’ll get some for you.

3. There are small plates available for breakfast (fruits, cold cuts…), lunch (small sandwiches, desserts, etc.) and during the evening (scallops, cheese, cold meat, etc.). They are rotated throughout the cruise. Outside of breakfast, you can’t really make a meal out of what’s available, but there is always a varied array of things to munch on, and they are usually better quality than what you’ll find elsewhere on the ship, including in Cove cafe.

Great info, thank you!,

Email shoreside and request specific brands of beer that you want. If they can get it they will stock it in the lounge. The same goes for any beverage. I request a specific non-dairy milk and they have been able to get it for me in the past. I've also requested a particular bourbon. If it's not unreasonable they will try to accommodate your request.

Also, I'm sure there's some Riesling or Moscato on the ship somewhere. Just ask the lounge bartender the first night and they will generally try to keep some on hand for you the rest of your cruise.

I’m certain they have both on hand by default in the lounge. We often get a glass of either during happy hour and it has always been available. They also have Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, and at least one champagne.

I didn't think of emailing! Great idea, thank you!

Love this! Thank you for this information. I can't wait!!

We have the early (main) dining. Does that mean we will miss out on Happy Hour?
Happy Hour starts at 5PM and last until around 9PM. Right now, early dining is staggered between 5:45PM and 6:15PM, so you have 45 minutes before the earliest time to enjoy it, if you arrive when it starts. You can also just grab a drink and head down to the main dining room.

You can also eat dinner then go to the lounge to wait for the show instead of going to the activities that are scheduled between both sittings. With early dining, I usually go to one of the activities in the lounges then get an old fashioned or another cocktail to go to the show.

Assuming the Wonder lounge follows the same schedule as the Dream (we are onboard now,) breakfast is 7-10:30, lunch is 11-2:00, tea time sandwiches and snacks from 2:30-4:30, dinner apps 5:00-8:00, desserts 8:30-10:00.

The bar is open all day on boarding day.

Happy hour every night 5:00-10:00. They have a selection of sparking, white, and red wines, beers, and top shelf cocktails. They’ve offered a drink of the day each evening (aperol spritz, Moscow mule, old fashioned, and not sure of tonight yet.) Our bartender also has made a super fancy mocktail for my daughter each night. During the happy hour window, you can stop in as many times as you like. I have been having a pre-dinner cocktail, a glass of wine to take to the dining room, and a nightcap after dinner. If I drank faster I could easily have more and I’ve seen people getting 2-3 beers at a time so they could have them during the day.

Still and sparkling water, soda, and specialty coffees are available whenever the lounge is open.

Thank you for the helpful (and reassuring) replies; seemed a bit odd to have the offer of a Happy Hour but not be able to make use of it! I didn’t realise I could take a glass of wine out of the lounge to drink at dinner; thought it would be “consume in the lounge only”.

My wife and I make extensive use of the "roadie". 🤣 In the before times we would grab a drink before dinner, get a glass of wine "to-go" for dinner, and then pop back up to the lounge for either a post dinner cocktail or something to take with us to the shows.
