Do we know or have a list of the "perks" that will come with booking a suite. I have seen where there is a private buffet to a private deck. If anyone could please compile a list or point me in the direction of the list that shows the perks.

Thanks a whole bunch! HG

I do not know what will be offered on the Dream, but in August my personal experience was:-

Private deck buffet, characters and officers and captain.
A choice a day was given of a gift such as fruit bowl,
Pre cruise planning support.
On ship planning support.
Extra meals at Palo organised
Popcorn for kids when they ordered movies.
Help with stateroom issues.
Advice on Weather and character greetings.
Tips organised
All photos from shutters delivered twice to our room and sorted, and payment made.

We were in a 1BR Concierge suite in April and we didn't have many of those things!

No Private deck buffet, no characters and no officers and no captain.
No choice a day was given of a gift such as fruit bowl, but a treat of some sort was in our cabin each day.
No photo's from shutters were ever delivered to us
No weather or character advice

We were pretty much restricted to the on board planning support the first day. Called another day with a problem and told it would be take care of but never heard from anyone. CM's were very nice and very cordial - just didn't experience much 'oomph' on our cruise. No complaints though and we are going back again this year. Hope we see a few of those goodies - we have a 2 BR Concierge.

Sorry you didn't get that, now I am referring ti a seven night Magic cruise in summer 2009, I know that concierge services were changed sometime the Spring, and of course there may well be a difference to shorter cruises.

Were you on a 4 night?

We had all of thoose on our seven night and a few other perks, it was nice.

Pre planning was available from 105 days out and they did a few things for me, dinner rotation, table size, ordering things, on board it was in diversions and they went through all our plans and helped us on other decisions.

will we see any of those perks in a 2BR? we are on (another) 3 day but sure would like it.

I was on a 3-night in May and had all of the above mentioned perks.

Clarification:
Buffet - The "private buffet" is the sail away reception for concierge guests. They have it on the aft deck area of Topsider/Beach Blanket Buffet. Normally, it's held when leaving a port of call (like Nassau or St. Thomas) and consists of things like shrimp cocktail, jalapeno poppers, cheeses, wings, chicken satay, smoked salmon, cookies, and fruit (plus bar service and sodas). Sometimes there are officers, sometimes not. Your concierges always will be there. Out of 5 cruises (three 7-night, two 3/4-night), we've only seen a character there once.

Choice of Treats - DCL tested this for a few months. I read somewhere that they went back to random treats each day.

Weather - A simple card is left in your room each day alerting you to the weather for the next day. You can also call your concierge to ask.

Characters - You'll get a schedule of character appearances. If you ask your concierge, I'm sure they'd be happy to give you advice.

Shutters Photos - They will pick them up for you if you ask.

Bottom line: The concierge service is what you make of it. They aren't mind readers. My best advice is to let them know on day one what is important to you.

And remember that you can't possibly get as much service, activities, etc. on a 3 night cruise as you can on a 7...but then you didn't pay as much for the 3 night cruise as others did for a 7 either.

I noticed it says in suite dining from rotation restaurants. Any word if in suite dining from Palo will continue on the Dream?

And I wonder if it will be limited to just the cat R, or if the cat T be included too? I know on the Magic & Wonder, both the cat 1 & 2 can order from Palo, but not the cat 3, which is what the cat T is supposed to be equivalent to.

I wish Palo was available for in-room dining in all suites on all ships. I'd be happy to pay more for this option.

tried to send once but didn't go will try again

"but then you didn't pay as much for the 3 night cruise as others did for a 7 either. "

Whoa!! We paid nearly $10,000 for a CAT 3 on a 3 day cruise 2 Adults and 2 Children- that is abt. $3300+ per day; we were quoted $11,680 in a CAT 4 which is about $1,630 per day. (i think) for a 7 day Eastern Carib but because of other obligations, were unable to take the 7 day and had to take the 3. That is practically DOUBLE per day! Both are for no transportation and no insurance.

that's interesting. We paid around $13K for a 3 AND 4 night cruise in a cat.1 in summer of '08

Okay... now I don't feel so bad in what we are playing for the Baltics in a Category 3. Thanks for putting my mind to ease..;)

Well look at it this way, at least the Baltic cruise you will have 7 days and receive all the perks listed! I truly envy you (not for the perks) but for going on the Baltic cruise. It has been a dream of mine and the years are getting shorter. Keep trying to convince DH but so far not successful.
