Concierge locations at GF, AKL & WL

Hi, Fellow DISers!

We'll be in WDW in Dec (15 days) and have already reserved GF Lagoon View, AKL Deluxe Savannah View and WL Deluxe/Jr. Suite.

I was thinking of upgrading to Concierge (assuming that there's availability) because we have several very special things planned during our stay and as I'm finding out, they'll require some heavy logistical planning on my part. I would really like the help that Concierge could provide and, although we probably won't be using it for food because we're on the MYW Premium Plan, the other amenities sound really nice.

Where is Concierge located in each resort - what floors, views, bldgs, etc?

Sheila,

I can answer the GF portion of your question. Full service concierge is found on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of the main building. Lodge concierge or "light" is found in the SugarLoaf building. This is less expensive than the main building and has some limited features. You still receive all the benefits of pre-planning and on site assistance however.

Edited to add view information: Main building concierge rooms overlook the marina/castle, courtyard garden, lagoon and beach. In SugarLoaf, you have a choice of marina (no castle view) and courtyard garden. Just as an FYI, even if you only upgraded one portion of your stay to concierge, as a courtesy they will usually extend their pre-planning services to cover your entire trip.

I tried for the past month to upgrade to concierge w/our pin rate. No rooms available. Then I logged onto disneyworld.com to see how much rack rate was (I have an AP, AAA also) and nothing was available at concierge level. I will be there in 17 days.

At WL concierge service isn't available for the deluxe/jr. suites. You'd have to book two concierge rooms. They are all on the 7th floor there.

At the AKL the lounge is on the sixth floor, rooms are 5th and 6th. At AKL savannah view can't be guaranteed with CL, but we've stayed there CL three times and always had savannah view. I've never heard of anyone not getting savannah view in AKL CL unless they wanted a smoking room which are pool view.

Tammi pretty well covered GF. When we stayed there thye never contacted us for preplanning assistance and were less than helpful once we arrived. The AKL was fabulous--in fact Sue actually offered to run a personal errand for us totaly unrelated to our stay if we needed her assistance!!
