We will be in a 2BR suite on the Wonder in a few weeks. If one does dinner in the room, is it like typical room service where they bring everything at once or do they do courses?

They bring everything at once, but will keep the warming lids on everything to keep it warm as you work through your courses at your own pace. They did set the table. If the dessert is an ice cream dessert, we have had servers ask us when to come back to bring that so it would not melt. We always tipped them.

Enjoy your cruise!!

They bring everything at once. Enjoy the 2 bedroom - we had that room on the Magic and it was terrific for having some family space.

Yes, if you do Palo they bring it in courses. And it takes a long time given the traveling back and forth.

We were in a 2 bedroom suite on the Wonder in December. We were asked if we wanted everything at once, or if we wanted full service. This was for all dinners in our suite. Just depends who is serving the concierge suites and if the larger suites are having Palo.

Thank you all! This is our first Disney cruise (only the second cruise for we adults)...

We do not want to go to Palo for an adult-only dinner but if we were to try Palo for room service with our son, any advice about which night would be best? We will be on the 4/13 Wonder 3-night cruise so presumably we are scheduled for one night in each of the three dining rooms.

In all honesty, I would do it on pirate night. Or you can search the internet for recent menus and see which one appeals to you less.

A few thoughts.

First, can you get Palo in a 2 bedroom? I thought it was just for royals.

Second, there is no pirate menu on a 3 night cruise, so it wouldn't be a menu thing.

Third, I agree that room service dinner on pirate night is a good idea for small kids. The night is full of activity including a late fireworks show. Having a calm meal in your stateroom can really help keep things on a more even keel for the little ones.

MDR/Palo is served in courses. I wish I'd known this ahead of time. We ordered dinner and I expected it to be delivered and for the server to leave, but no. There I was with my hair soaking wet and wrapped in a towel as I'd just gotten out of the bathtub! LOL

I have been told that they changed policies and Palo is only served in Royal Suites now. This is new. In the past it was also offered in 2 bedrooms but my understanding is that has been discontinued. I did quite a bit of research because we were deciding between Royal vs 2 bedroom.

Not sure when you heard that. Not the case this past October, but I understand that things change. Did someone on the phone tell you this? It's been my experience that CMs on the phone aren't that knowledgeable.

We're back, and we had a great Palo dinner in our suite. We did it on pirate night as suggested, and it worked out perfectly. They brought the meal in courses, and it was a great experience.

Glad you enjoyed it.

The experience is wonderful. The kids love that they can have the soufflés in the room.

Can someone confirm if you are able to get Palo delivered into the 1 bedroom suite? I remember reading that this wasn't the case. Thanks!
