Concierge Email FYI

Over the summer there were several reports of people not getting the automated confirmation of their concierge requests. It seemed very random. Well, it happened to me last night. So I poked around in my inbox, and I have a theory.

When the actual shoreside team emails, they do so from the account that ends in Disney.com. However, if you email to the account that ends in disneycruise.com, the automatic response is generated. Same user name.

Because I let my email auto fill, the original request email went to Disney.com at midnight eastern. I just forwarded the message to disneycruise.com and got the auto response. We shall see what happens with our requests. I do think that might be the mystery of the missing auto response though.

So did you hear back from them about whether your requests will be calendered or whatever? My husband fell to sleep instead of emailing shoreside so now out email didn't get through until 3 am... I'm freaked that I won't get a cabana on cc. (That's the thing we want the most for our trip.)

Haha. I just replied to you in the other thread.

Yes, we got the not a problem email and then confirmation yesterday that all of our stuff was officially booked.
 
I was one of those in what would have been 2014. I don't know what the email ended in, but I just followed their instructions on who to email. There was no auto fill (I don't have that on my hotmail), I literally just emailed in the manner they told me to.

Thankfully I had a bad feeling about it (it was before I started whining about it and we all started discussing that there IS an auto reply, so I didn't know there was an auto reply...I don't know why I had a bad feeling but thankfully I did so now I know that cabanas are NOT something I need in the future) AND I'm pacific coast so being up at midnight eastern isn't a hardship, and I just booked what I had asked them for.

I then took my first email and forwarded it, with basically a "never mind" reply, and sent it to the exact same email address as before, and with that email I got an immediate auto reply.

So....

But 2014 stuff is ancient history. :) didn't realize the email hinkyness was still happening!
