Did any other DVC member notice that the Concierge Collection Destinations have been radically removed without any notice to the DVC members? We have used our points to visit many of the Concierge Collection options and were planning on visiting the Tanque Verde and Mackinac Island options this year in 2008. Guess what, these and many others have been removed with no notice. You can still book these until January 31 but you have to travel by May 31, 2008. Well, that really doesn't help us with our summer and Fall break plans now does it.

I did call DVC and the operator and manager were very nice, but told me they too did not receive any advanced notice of this "management decision". I encourage all DVC members who are upset about this to send an email to the following web site: dvcmembersatisfactionteam@disneyvacationclub.com.

Help us tell the DVC Management team that we are not happy members. Tell them to restore the Concierge Collection options that we were sold when we bought our memberships.

The DVC web site said:

Concierge Collection: Disney Vacation Club has refined the Concierge Collection to focus on the most popular destinations and iconic resorts offering great value and a wide range of experiences.

The flyer that came with the new planner said:

The Concierge Collection will now focus on iconic resorts offering the greatest value and range of experiences. The refinement of the Concierge Collection retains the collection's most popular destinations.

What it should have said in the flyer was: "We're reducing the Concierge Collection desitnations by over 50% and not giving you any advance notice so your vacation plans for this year and next year are now spoiled!"

This is a real value for our investment?

Personally, I have no major complaints (except being charged for the internet, which is supposed to free in 2008) about DVC. I really think that Disney KNOWS that how unhappy folks are about the changes, they'll keep coming back and if they do sell their membership, there's a heck of alot more folks waiting in line to join, so not much of our input is considered. Sadly, I think it's just part of the big brother for profit and the heck with consumer satisfation corporate world.

I too have been happy, but as an owner of my own business, if my managers make a boneheaded move, I want to know about it. That's why I posted the email address. The manager at MS told me that the more DVC members complain and send letters and emails, they will discuss it at their management meetings.
