omg.
Yep, and Poly CL was 800 and something... YC CL was over 700. Even with an AP rate that is some serious cash. I better start saving now! Wait.... that won't work.... I'm spending all my money already for this next trip!![]()
My dilemma is that it's $360/night (not bad for CL I guess) but I hate the idea of standard view. The view is important to me. Petty, I know but it is what it isI don't pay for lagoon or pool views but GV is usually only a few dollars more and is worth it. Anyone stay standard view YC CL and not disappointed??
We have not stayed in a SV room, but do know a family that was in the room next door to the lounge. They asked to be moved after one night because of all the noise and commotion. I would call and add a request to be away from the lounge.
I'm pretty sure that most/all of the CL SV rooms face the front of the resort.
I called in this morning to see if I could get the late summer AP discount applied to the second half of our stay (just came out today - wasn't available for our resort/room category/dates). Anyway, the CM I had was so cute - she said the King Kamehameha suite was available with the discount and she'd look it up for me "just for fun" ....for our 4 night stay it would be over $10,000 - and remember that was with the discountShe and I both agreed that wouldn't be happening anytime soon

Do all the YC CL rooms have full balconies? Any with only the Juliette? Thank you!!

All rooms at the YC have a full balcony.
There is actually at least ONE YC CL room that does not have a balcony. At all. I forget the room number, but our friends were in it during our stay in April. It's right down the hall from the Presidential suite. They didn't complain though, it was a free upgrade from a garden view non-CL room.![]()
After I posted, I remembered someone posted on a thread a few months ago about 1 YC room not having a balcony but I couldn't remember if was a CL room or not (and I couldn't remember the thread).
I'm not sure if there are any more like it, but that one definitely exists. I didn't believe my friend either and quickly went down and inspected the room...it was true.
It did seem bigger than our room though!
I think it's just the 1 room, but I'm not 100% certain either. From what I remember, the poster that posted that information on the other thread seemed pretty sure, but I have never really seen any other mention of that or any other rooms not having a balcony. I wonder if the YC/BC FAQ mentions it at all.
You might have read my post....I did post about it on the YC/BC thread when I returned in April and I think Dee said she was going to check with Teena on whether there were more, but I didn't really follow the thread after that so I don't know if it was updated or not.![]()
Is the Sugarloaf lounge bigger than the one at YC??? Can anyone who has stayed at both let me know?![]()
I can't remember the thread title, but it was someone asking about whether or not all rooms at the YC had balconies. I think it's strange that all rooms at the YC (except that one) have full balconies, but not all rooms at the BC do
. I don't care for the Juliet balconies at the BC as they aren't really usable, IMO.
I can't compare the 2 lounges as we haven't stayed YC CL, but I thought the SL lounge was very small. Also, it's not really a "lounge" per se (at least not to me) as it's located right inside the lobby of the SL building with no views. The lounge always seemed chaotic during our stay (which was during a slower time in January) and there never seemed to be enough seating to accommodate the number of people staying there.
I don't know if I asked you this, but how did the size of SL compare to the WL lounge?
As you can tell, I am very much struggling with what monorail resort CL to go with next... poly would be #1 choice if not for DVC construction
