Our favorite resort has always been the YC, but have not stayed there since becoming DVC members. I am thinking about booking our first CL stay for our anniversary trip in Sept. Is the YC lounge open 24 hours like the BC?

Kind of curious, but does anyone know if the AKL CL Lounge has any Masala tea?

We are booked June 15th at the yacht club standard view club level. This is our first Disney resort experience. Stayed off site in 2008 and 2009.

What can we expect from the standard view room on the club level? Seems like the yacht club is booked solid that week.

Hi - here now in a standard view CL room; the view is over the front entrance - w/ the parking lot in the distance. The room is nice. My 9th time staying YC - lovely resort and I just love the Epcot area. Next time I come back I will opt for better view and do a grocery delivery. The display and pickings here leave alot to be desired. The lounge is very small. Now this is only the 2nd time doing CL; 1st time was at AKL and I thought that was just fabulous.

That's kind of a bummer. One of my concerns is to get value out of the club level. I already have all my adrs done and the park visits planned out. We really wanted to stay at the yacht club but the only rooms available are standard view club level.

Hello CL Fans!

We just heard from friends that there is now a Pete in BC CL and they think he may be the same Pete that we knew from BWI CL. Does anyone know if Pete moved from BWI CL to BC CL?

Don't know if Pete used to be at BWI or not but I met Pete last Sep at bcr cl. If I'm remembering correctly he was on the big/tall side. Very friendly and helpful. Has an older daughter and is from NYC. As well as memory serves.

I remember a box full of lots of different kinds of teas to choose from, but I can't recall seeing that kind. (but it's been a while and I wasn't specifically looking for it...):confused3

When I booked ST CL at the YC I was told pretty much that it's a parking lot view.

Sorry you aren't loving the YC CL. We're going back there in June -- I hope it will be worth it for my family.

AKL (IMO) is one of the best CL lounges at WDW -- it really spoiled us for most of the others. :cloud9:

Thank you, osugal!!! Posted same question on the BC/YC thread and Teena confirmed that there is a different Pete at BC (from Brooklyn and never worked at BWI.) We stayed BC CL twice last year and I don't think we met the BC Pete. Thanks again!

I think BC Pete does not always work on CL but is usually at the main Concierge desk. We met him during our Aug11 stay and just loved him. My DD and Pete had a great conversation about NYC plays and colleges. We were sad not to see him when we recently stayed CL over Easter. But thrilled to see our fave Neal!

We meet a Pete while at BC CL last July he was wonderful! Very friendly!

Wow! That's a lot better than the response I got from BWI IPO last week when I told them about our allergies and asked for the menu. I was basically told, "it rotates."

Hi everyone! Just got back from BC club level and I loved it! I know some people aren't a big fan of it, in fact I know that BoardwalkFan 4 life didn't like it so that scared me off a little but for my first club level experience it was very nice. I wrote a review of it in the resorts forum if anyone wants a detailed review, with pictures!

Anyways... we are going back to AK club level end of August and I was wondering if they have hard boiled eggs in the morning there as well. I've read conflicting reports if they have it or not. As stupid as it sounds, it's kind of a deal breaker for my DH. He needs protein in the morning and if we are paying for club level he doesn't want to buy anything else for breakfast. Can anyone help us out, please?

We've stayed AKL CL Jan '08 and Sept '09 ....it's my favourite CL, as of those trips, hardboiled eggs where Not served at breakfast. I think this is something only BC/YC, BWI and GF club levels do.....it would be nice if it was across the board, but it is not a staple at all of them yet. I am trying POLY CL for the first time this fall, hoping I love it as much as I adore AKL CL! :lovestruc

We talked to another family at BC that said that AKL CL was there favorite and they have visited almost all of the resorts, even more than the GF CL which they had just come from because they were doing a split stay. That surprised me!

We might have to switch to BWI though now after hearing your info. That was my DH's other choice for our next resort. My only qualm with that is that we won't be going to Epcot or HS at all during that trip so why pay extra for the location if we are not going to be utilizing it? This will be more of a hang out the resort trip and go to MK once.

KatieKat -- AKL CL is amazing. They didn't have hard-boiled eggs the last time we stayed there, but that was way back in 2010 and at that time, neither did the BC CL (it was a split trip). I would definitely ask on the AKL CL thread or call and ask them, because I think that the eggs are showing up in all the CLs now (from what I've been reading on here). We feel like your DH -- we want some protein in the morning and don't want to buy it when staying CL. I can answer your question in a month, but that might be too late. I can tell you that they have some of the best food (IMO) in that lounge, and that the ambiance there is wonderful. The lounge is big and airy, too. I prefer it to the BC/YC CL, but I love those resorts as well.
