coopersmom,
I am not sure how many Deluxe Rooms in total the Beach Club has, however at the Boardwalk Inn I believe they have a total of 10 Deluxe Rooms or maybe less. So those can sell out very fast and once they are gone chances are they won't become available for your dates, unless someone who has one decides to cancel their reservation.

Beach Club has 6 Deluxe Rooms. 2 have standing/small balconies and the other 4 have bigger balconies or a patio.

As of right now, a deluxe room at Boardwalk is available for my dates (currently booked in a deluxe room at Beach Club), which is why I was asking about the comparison. I know that could change at any time though. (Checked again this morning and it's still there.)

I can only say that I absolutely love the deluxe room at BWI. Beautiful, spacious, love the boardwalk view, best club staff on property. Balcony I've always had is small, only 2 can fit out there comfortably....

My family and I have stayed BWI Deluxe Concierge room twice before and we absolutely love it!!:goodvibes Twice, we've had the same room which is just across from the lounge and it's so convenient!! I would say that I think as far as size of deluxe room and the size of the lounge that the BWI wins out. I have stayed at YC CL before and really enjoyed it, but the BWI is just top notch!! I can't say enough fine things about it. The lounge is spacious and the deluxe rooms are very spacious. We had the smaller balcony, but it was fine. There were 2 chairs and a small table in between them. Very comfortable. I can't wait until I can go back. :lovestruc

For those who have stayed BWI CL and Poly CL.....how would you compare the two as far as offerings, lounge, etc.? We've stayed at the Poly before (and LOVE the resort....it's our favorite :goodvibes), but are trying CL there for the first time in December. We've stayed WL CL and GF RPC & SL.....so any comparisons for those resorts to BWI & Poly would be great too ;). We are familiar with the Epcot area as we've stayed at the BC before, but the BWI has been on my list of resorts to try, although it is hard getting past no CS.....my DH and DSs need breakfast/lunch offerings similar to Captain Cooks at the Poly :rolleyes1. The deluxe CL room is what I have my eye on (although I haven't checked availability so I'm not sure if it's even available with my pin code). We love the MK area and love the Poly, but it is nice sometimes to try different resorts. We've stayed at all of the deluxes except BWI, YC, and CR......so it would be nice to eventually stay at them all. So any comparisons/opinions would be great :flower3:.

We're staying Poly CL in Sept. I've been thinking about ordering an in-room birthday celebration from Disney Florist. Should I call the Poly IPO and ask about this, or just talk to Disney Florist?
If anyone has ever done this, is it really, really nice?
I have read here that the Club Level rooms are assigned before your arrival. Does that mean that it can be in your room before you check in?

TIA for any info!

I'm not sure, but I'll share our recent experience in case that helps. I've been working on a mini-celebration with IPO for BWI/BC/YC. When I first mentioned "in-room celebration" to IPO, they referred me to the Disney Florist. When I spoke with Disney Florist, they told me they could not do anything to customize their standard packages, and referred me back to IPO. (Although I've read reports from posters here about custom packages from Disney Florist, so I'm not sure that's accurate.) YC FAN posted some great photos of her in-room celebration through Disney Florist on the BC/YC thread a couple months ago - it looked amazing!

So IPO has been great - I sent them a list of items I would like and then called with credit card information and they will purchase the items and have them ready to set up in our room. They said that, due to a recent change in policy, they cannot set up the items in the room before we check-in. So they suggested that we check in, let them know of a time we will be out of the room for a while, and then they will go in to set everything up. According to IPO, the policy change is intended to avoid losing the items or accidentally setting them up in the wrong room. I'm not sure if the policy is the same for Poly.

Happy Planning! :wizard:

For those who have stayed BWI CL and Poly CL.....how would you compare the two as far as offerings, lounge, etc.?
I have stayed Club Level at both the Boardwalk Inn and Polynesian. Personally I found the food offerings a lot better at the Boardwalk Inn. Now the lounge was a lot bigger at the Polynesian, however it was also a lot darker and the lounge at the Boardwalk Inn was a lot brighter.

I thought the Poly lounge looked bigger. I've been looking at pics of both lounges and it did look like the Poly lounge was quite a bit bigger, but I didn't know if it was just my perception or if it actually was bigger. Thanks for your input :).

You're welcome.

Also I forgot mention obviously at the Polynesian you need to walk outside when going to the Hawaii Longhouse, however at the Boardwalk Inn their Standard Club Level Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and lounge are loacted inside on the 4th floor and their other Deluxe Rooms are located on the 3rd floor. If you stayed in their Garden Suites those are the only Club Level Rooms located outside by their quiet pool.

Although maybe that's not such a big deal since the majority of the Boardwalk stores and restaurants are all located outside.

Are all standard CL rooms located on the 4th floor or are some on the 3rd floor?

All their Standard Club Level Rooms are located on the 4th floor and very close to the lounge.

Some of their Deluxe Club Level Rooms are located on the 3rd floor and the others are on the 4th floor. However the ones on the 3rd floor are very close to the set of stairs which take you to the 4th floor.

Finally their Garden Suites are all located outside by the Boardwalk Inn quiet pool.

That's good to know that the standard CL rooms are close to the lounge. I checked the Disney site and there aren't any Deluxe CL rooms available at rack rate for our dates, so there most likely won't be one available with my pin code. But standard CL would be ok since we're a family 4.....the deluxe would just give us a little more room to spread out. Thanks for all the information :).

You're welcome and I was happy to help. If you need any more information go right ahead and just ask me or someone else who knows a lot about Club Level at the Boardwalk Inn.

We checked out of BWI-CL Standard room on Monday. It was our first CL stay and our first BWI stay. We loved both! I agree with what every one here has said about the staff. they are amazing! We particularly loved Michael, Mary, and most especially, Lorenzo! He went way out of his way for us without us asking. What an asset he is to Disney and the Boardwalk!
We were right next door to the Lounge, 4232. The location was perfect! Probably the best we've ever had at WDW!
Thanks to every one here for posting! It really helped us make up our mind when we made our reservation.

It's great you enjoyed staying there and I agree that Lorenzo is one of the best Cast Members, I can't wait to see him again in a few weeks.

I've done Poly CL 5 times and BWI CL 3 times. The breakfast offerings at BWI are much nicer. The Poly lounge is bigger but I have never found the BWI lounge to be too crowded. As has been said by many other the CMs at BWI are wonderful!

Be sure to ask for a room away from ESPN club-not loud but a long walk down the hall.

Glad you had a great stay :). I have read so many very positive things about BWI CL that the more I read, the more I want to stay there ;).

Thanks for your input and the suggestion on room location :). We love the Poly and being close to MK, but the more I look at pics of BWI (as well as hear so many great reviews of their CL), I really want to give it a try. I guess I should start by calling to see if BWI CL is even available with my pin code......I may be toying with a decision that is easily made for me if it's not even available :rolleyes1. Thanks again :goodvibes.
