The sandwiches are Crustables - peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I think in the manufacturing process, the peanut butter is actually "sealed" inside the sandwich so not actually exposed until someone takes a bite. AKL does have spiced nuts though which sit out a good portion of the day.

HTHs! :)

Also, the trail nut mix has nuts in it. Both of them are in jars with lids on them. If a guest wants anything, they'll have to open the jars first. The spoons used to grab peanuts is out in the open, however. Another point is the place you can return used plates and glasses. Allthough one should, apparently not everbody cleans up their own stuff before leaving it there which can result in some food leftovers still being on the plates etc.

With AKL being an african themed resort, the appitizers also sometimes will have peanut or residu of it in them.

Whatever resort you end up going for; discus this with IPO prior to the trip and then with the CL CM's after arrival. Don't know about other CL's but assume it's about the same as AKL. Overthere, they'll keep food in their own kitchen and bring out more if refill is needed on for instance the peanuts. One might want to discuss the airbourne part of the allergy to make sure no problems occur 'behind the scenes'.

Let me know if y'all have any questions. Wishing everybody out there a Happy New Year and a 2010 full of Disney magic!

Karen,

Thanks for your review. I'm looking forward to my first WL CL stay in just 19 days!!!

Have a Happy New Year! :yay::yay:

Hello!

I posted over on the Poly thread but then wondered if this might be a better place?

I know they recently changed the booking categories at the Poly CL. There used to just be LVC and GVC. Now, on the lagoon side, you can book Lagoon view or Theme Park view in Hawaii.

Does anyone know which room in Hawaii are now Theme Park vs. Lagoon view?

TIA!

I'm not sure anyone knows for certain which rooms will be classified "Theme Park View" in Hawaii. Most all of the rooms on the LV side of Hawaii have great views of the theme park--if you've booked, you might try contacting IPO for specific room numbers. I did a little checking online and didn't find any information on the exact location of the TPV rooms. :confused3

We've discussed this additional charge for LV rooms in this thread previously--although it has been a while and probably many pages back. I don't recall reading that anyone has actually paid the additional charge for a TPV in Hawaii though. Perhaps someone will wander along who has actually opted to cough up the extra $$$ for the view and may be able to answer your question.

The extra $$$ seems so excessive! I am trying to finalize a decision between Poly garden concierge, Contemporary TPV concierge and GF Sugar Loaf concierge. I priced out the TPV for the Polynesian - Crazy! Even with a 40% off code....

Well if it helps the Contemporary Atrium Club - Magic Kingdom View, is less expensive then the Polynesian Club Level - Magic Kingdom View and you get a whole view of the park and not just of Cinderella's Castle and I consider that to be a real Magic Kingdom View.

Couldn't agree with you more scanne--the LV CL rooms are dear enough without adding more for a "TPV". As I said, with few exceptions--the LV rooms have great views and I would definitely take my chances before paying additional $$ per night for the TPV LV CL rooms. If enough people feel likewise, that view category will go away. Alternatively, if you want the LV, chances are you will still receive a great view. I seriously doubt they would "hold" rooms out of inventory IF they can sell them at the LV rate (which, as noted, is excessively high anyway).

No word yet on exactly which rooms are going to be "Theme Park View", but a friend of mine who works at the poly said they went out with a list of all the rooms, and actually went to each room and checked the view. They said Management seemed to be following their recommendations without modification.

Don't they cut the uncrustables in half at most lounges? At least that is the way I remember it.

Uncrustables were cut in half at both the Poly and the AKL this summer. Guess it could go both ways. I couldn't necessarily smell them, and they were in a container, but I very clearly remember that the gummy bears I swiped from on top of them at the AKL tasted like peanut butter. It was kinda weird, lol. ;)

Hi everyone,

We will be staying at the CR for the first time in 31 days! :yay::yay::yay:
We are staying Jan. 30-Feb. 7 and I have a question about rooms.

We are staying in the atrium CL , theme park view. What is the deal with requesting an odd numbered room? Also, to whom do I make this request? The IPO?

Thanks,

Kathy

With an odd numbered room your beds would be facing the Magic Kingdom and you should make this request to a Cast Member from CRO, although you can ask the IPO and see what they say.

Okay, NOW I get t. I will try that. Thank you so much.

One other thing, is there anywhere to link to see floor/room layouts of the Atrium level?

You're welcome and the floor/room layouts are exactly the same as all the other floors in the Tower.

Can anyone tell me exactly what this is? Is it worth it (kids 6 & 8)? How long does it last? And comments would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if this is listed on all room only confirmations or just those with Club Level reservations, however I just noticed this on my families confirmation for August 2010 and it was never listed on our previous confirmations.

CONCIERGE: Check-in at the Front Desk. A Concierge Host/Hostess will meet you at the Front Desk and escort you to your concierge accommodations.

I am saying this because there are still some guests who don't know you can check-in on your specific floor or building, if you arrive before 10:00 PM.

Although that statement is a bit misleading because you actually tell a Cast Member at the outside bell stand that you have a Club Level reservation. Then one of them calls the Club Level your floor or building to say you arrived and to have a Club Level Host/Hostess meet you, because you don't need to visit the front desk.

We were just on this this afternoon. There were four kids on the ride, and they seemed to enjoy themselves. :thumbsup2

You are in a special excursion bus that will stop at certain areas so you can take photos of the animals on the Safari ride. You join the regular Safari trail about halfway through. It lasts about an hour and you will get a lot of information on the different animals at Animal Kingdom on this ride. I think it's worth it, but DH was unhappy with it because he didn't think it stopped enough. Hope this helps! :)

Hi all you concierge experts, trying to decide between GF/SL and CR Atrium MK view for the week before Christmas. What are the views from SL all GV and marina? We had a MK view at GF in April and we really loved it. I also have read that SL lounge gets really crowded and is small. How does it compare to the CR lounge?
Any pros and cons would be appreciated.
