We were at the Poly CL last week and they did not have a coffee maker in our room

I wonder if one broke and hadn't been replaced. We've always had one in our room in Hawaii since coffee makers started making appearances in WDW rooms...what 7 or 8 years ago maybe???

We've always had a coffee maker in our room. If you don't see one in your room, ask mousekeeping.:)

We're leaving on 12/11 for our first stay at the Poly, and our first stay CL. I'm really excited!

I'm calling later today to make a couple ADRs and was wondering how first floor rooms are in Hawaii? It's just two of us, for our 9th anniversary, and we'd prefer something that feels private and reasonably quiet. On the other hand, walking from your patio out onto the beach to see the fireworks sounds awesome!

So... how are the first floor rooms in terms of being quiet? Thanks in advance! :)

AKL and CR have the same wonderful machine. GF has a different but great one, too. The ones at the BC, YC, and Poly were all Nescafe machines, and they tasted like it. Can't compare to the one at AKL, unfortunately. It sounds like the one at the WL is the Nescafe type...:sad2:

Hopefully they will upgrade them all soon.

Gosh, I might have to change our hotel back to AKL! Just kidding, I am not that much of a coffee addict. But the machine at AKL was nice. I think I made steamed milk in it for the kids' hot cocoa as well if I remember correctly. I can't even fathom a "nescafe" machine.

Oct 08, the first night at the AKL the machine was working...the next 5 nights it was broken and they were not fixing it fast enough! Nov 09 Poly CL...we check in and both machines were down!

We are not meant to drink coffee stuff at WDW :lmao:

Hi all! Just booked YC CL for our April break 18-23rd. We got a 40% pin and couldn't pass it up! We have stayed CL at the Poly before, but have never been inside the BC/YC. Any help/tips anyone can give me at all about resort/restaurants/activities would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Does anyone know how long it takes for the IPO to email you back? I sent one on Sunday and got the standard reply, but was just wondering how long it would take. We are staying YC CL this July and are too excited!!
Thanks

The YC has two really fantastic restaurants - Yachtsman Steakhouse and the Captain's Grill - then, over at the BC, if you have little ones, you have to do the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe - one of the best character meals, IMO.

Be sure to take a walk over to the BW in the evenings to watch the magician, juggler, etc....great atmosphere over there.

Coffee machine functioning should be included in the Terms of Service! I gues I'd rather have wine or some liquor than cofeee anyway!

Does anybody know what liquors they serve in the lounge at WL?

How about liquor *in* your coffee?:lmao:

:rotfl2: I hear you! I'm not an addict either, but DH really enjoyed the machine at AKL and we really missed it when at the BC and the Poly. It really does make us want to stay at AKL more...

The Nescafe machine looks nothing like the one at AKL -- think of it like a big, square drink dispenser, nothing like the pretty steel one at AKL that lets you choose and insert your espresso. More like a soda-fountain...:lmao:

The little details really do make a difference! I'll have to search the boards for the few places that have decent coffee around the World, or else go back to Diet Coke for breakfast for a few days.

Are there any edible items at Wilderness Lounge lounge that you look forward to?

I usually just lurk around and read...

But, as it's getting closer to my trip I'm getting very excited and wanted to share that excitement with people who would understand. (Unfortunately I don't have "Disney people" to share with - including DH who loves me enough to enjoy WDW with me every few years.)

I'm staying CL at BWI during the week of Dec. 14th. It is my first time staying at a deluxe and my second time going during the x-mas season. (The first time I went I got sick so I'm hoping that this time I'll stay healthy through the trip.)

Just wanted to share.

Cathy
