It's hit-or-miss whether the IPO will contact you. :confused3 I wouldn't wait on them. Once I have my Confirmation #, I initiate contact; no matter how far off the trip is! :thumbsup2

Email and phone information is on page 1 in the first post. You should get an auto-reply almost immediately; then the IPO should contact you within 24 hours. :)

Thanks, will do. I must say, it really doesn't set the magical tone to be "hit or miss" on the featured service...but it will all be well once we are there, I'm sure!:)

Any other CL items for new folks to know? Like: when you arrive, how do they know you're CL, and should be sent up there? Did I see something about a card to give someone? Coming via ME, I wouldn't be surprised if they know who's on what bus, and how many at each stop are CL guests.
 
For those at the Poly CL, were you given buckets and shovels at check in so your kids could play in the sand? Someone on another thread mentioned that.

Several years ago, our children and my nephew were given sand buckets and shovels filled with coloring pages, small package of crayons, and some other goodies. Our kids and nephew were all teens at the time. :lmao: They did end up playing with them though. :rotfl:

Once you've made the initial contact with an IPO, you should get the service you deserve. It's just that initial contact that seems to vary. :confused3

We were provided with a letter from the IPO to give the valet desk. There was also a sign that said Club Level check in at the desk. So if you don't have the letter, you would just see the CM there and they would call and verify with the Club CMs (I'm assuming). They may also have a list of who is expected that day.

When we arrived, they did call the Hawaii building and let them know we were there. By the time we were taken to the building in the golf cart, the CMs at the building had our paperwork sitting out and ready for us.

Got a very impersonal shot back with an attached itinerary planner...the planner didn't even insert our name into the greeting intro line "Welcome ___________ Family!" that was highlighted for fill in...I guees it doesn't really matter, but it just is a world of difference from the warm, friendly and personal greeting we got from the very outset with the YC IPO in '09. From the inital contact we were anticipating our arrival. This is really quite cold & I hope this doesn't foreshadow how we will be treated during our stay. Is this typical for CL now, or has someone at the BWI IPO missing their daily dose of pixie dust? :confused3

That's how I remember the 1st letter we got in the past from the Contemporary IPO.

The YC, BC and BWI are all the same IPO so sounds to me like someone at the IPO is missing their daily dose of pixie dust, either that or they just sent the email to you without realising they left your name out. :confused3

Wasn't sure where to post this question, hope it ok to ask here with the CL experts, and I hope no one from IPO reads this thread because I am so grateful for the above and beyond help I was given that I am too embarrassed to make any sort of issue about it with them ...

Will it be a problem if someone from IPO made my adrs in their own name? I am sure it was a simple mistake. I will have to give the IPO planner's name when we check in, correct? My adr booking date came up in June and, at the time, I just verified the restaurants and times online, but I recently noticed the name problem. I tried to make new adrs with my name but everything is booked.

Any thoughts about this? Would the IPO have the ability to change the name? (I realize this is an out-there question and I hope no one else has encountered this!)

Oh my goodness, I would definitely send an email to the IPO and request the name change. They should be able to get the mistake corrected without any problem. Please update and let us know they corrected this for you.

Print off a copy of the itinerary they send you and bring it along, just in case (although I'm sure everything will be fine). :thumbsup2

On your check-out day you still have access to the lounge until 10:00 PM since that's the time the Cast Members go home and the food is taken away, so the answer is yes you can still go there after checking out of your room. Technically you could stay until 12:00 AM because that's when your perks of staying there would officially end, although there is no point past 10:00 PM if you know what I mean.

You have Lounge access until midnight of your check-out day (or until they close for the evening, usually 10pm). :thumbsup2

They will send me a copy of the entire itinerary at some point? When does that usually happen? Because all I have now are the individual reservations forwarded from online dining. They were sent to me as she made them that morning.

I will contact them. As I said, she went above and beyond for us (we're splitting a stay and she made some for our non-CL portion because I was on vacation in a remote part of the world without cell service and unable to do them myself at the 180 day mark - a big favor) so I hate to make a big issue about it, if that makes sense.

It's their job to make the reservations for you. Please don't think you're bothering them. That's why they are there!!

They usually send an email with an attachment after they make the first reservations for you; then send updated ones as changes are made. If they didn't send an itinerary with all your ADRs listed, send an email and request one. It's simple for them to do. They can find all your ADRs quickly (even the non-CL ones)! :goodvibes

The IPO office is not the same as the staff at BWI CL, and I wasn't very impressed with their IPO office. I LOVE the staff at BWI though! :cloud9: It will be fine once you get there. :goodvibes

Evening – I had the opportunity to speak with Chef Eugene, the new CL chef. He was formerly at Boma as their soup and saucier chef. He has worked at 7 resorts and is enjoying Poly CL so far. He has only been there a month and a half and said he looks forward to changing up the menu in the coming months.

Eugene? Is this a fairly tall African fellow who is so positive and so nice that he seems to glow? I met him a few times at Boma, but the last time I was there in April they told me he was going to a new position. I hope it's him! :dance3:

That's a great point because if some guests don't get good service from the IPO Cast Members they might think it's the Club Level Cast Members working in the lounge, when they have nothing to do with each other.
 
Thanks for reminding me the IPO is not the same....I'd forgotten about that....I'll stay with BWI on faith :)

I would call IPO and ask them to fix it. Also, sometimes I received an email with all the dining (even with split-stays) and sometimes I didn't. If you didn't get one, just email them or call them and ask for one. It shouldn't take long to get it. ;)
