Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

One more question - Do we check in at the regular check in on the first floor? I will probably do online check in - is this the best way to go?

Thanks.
We always check-in on the 12th floor and this is how the process works. When you arrive to the main entrance tell the Cast Member working at the bell service desk you are staying Club Level. They will then call up to say you have arrived and another Cast Member will come down to meet you, then take you up so you can check-in.

There is no need to do online check-in when staying club level. Have a great trip!

I stayed CL at the Contemporary a few weeks ago and even though I made it a point to tell the bellman that I was staying concierge, and my parking permit stated so, I was still made to check in downstairs. The person checking us in then took us to the 12th floor to our room.

In the past we have always made our ADR's through IPO. This year I've made a few online. My question is, when I check in to YC CL will they be able to see and print our *all* the ADR's on our itinerary (including the ones I made on my own)? I'm not really sure how the login works and how things get linked.

:

Last year I found BC/YC IPO to be very accomodating, so my guess is you won't have a problem. However, we did a split stay between BC and Poly. BC IPO made most of our ADR's, both IPO's agreed they should do it this way. Fine by me. Later I needed a couple additional ADR's. BC IPO said to let Poly handle it because we would be there during that part of our trip. No problems with scheduling.

However, I repeatedly asked Poly to compose an itinerary that put the new ADR's in the scheduled place. I even attached a copy of the one BC sent me. The primary portion of our stay was at Poly (10 nights). I never received one. I thought I would get it at check in. Nope. They just gave me a print out of the few things they scheduled.

It wasn't a huge deal for me to hand write the new ADR's and scheduled events in order on the itinerary BC gave me (theirs only included what they scheduled, which was accurate for the time we were there.) I was disappointed that Poly did not give me the inclusive itinerary after they said they would a couple of times.

I must add that Poly IPO has been significantly better this year. We almost did not stay at our beloved Poly this year as in our opinion CL service was lacking so much last year. We couldn't bear to leave and so far I'm glad. Amanda from IPO has been awesome.:thumbsup2

And I do think you'd be better off buying the park hopper from U-T. They have a "special" right now and I'll be happy to PM the link to you if you need it.

Any chance that special is still going on??? :flower3: DS and I are both AP holders, but I need to get DH a PH ticket before we go. Thanks!

So we had a Southwest airlines LUV coupon burning a hole in our pocket....and with the announcement of the fantastic AP rates....we just couldn't resist....

Booking our 2nd stay at the King Kamehameha Club for Sept 3rd - 10th!

:woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::cheer2::cheer2:

We stayed in the Hawaii longhouse for the first time in Sept 2009 and fell in love. We had stayed at the Polynesian twice before and had always loved the look of the CL lounge and the location of the longhouse.

With 40% off and esentially *free* airfare, plus our annual passes, we just had to book!

Only 63 days to go! :thumbsup2

we arrive the 11th maybe we will take over your room when you leave :)

I know this sounds like a silly question, but what kind of uncrustables are in the Poly Lounge for the kids?
My DS6 is the pickeyest eater in the whole world. Can you imagine, he's 6 1/2 and never had a pb & j sandwich? I'm going to buy some for home before we go, and I just wanted to know which kind to get.

I'm not sure exactly, but last summer at the POLY they had PPJ. I know your pain. My son only eats about four different items, and PPJ isn't one of them.

They used to be Smucker's grape PB&J. They have them unwrapped and halved now, but when they used to serve them wrapped and whole--it was Smucker's.

I think they were the ones with grape jelly not strawberry but I can't be 100% sure.

My youngest is very pickey too and wouldn't eat them. We get them at home for my older 2 so it wasn't like they were something new she wouldn't try. She eats pretty much only white food.

The Uncrustables have a LOT of PB in them-that is how the jelly doesn't bleed through and she's not a fan of PB.

She ate cucumbers, little tiny pita bread pockets and some of the plain crackers.

I also had string cheese that I had brought with us as she won't eat any other kind of cheese except Velveeta and that isn't even really cheese.

I am hoping she'll try the PBJ pinwheels at BWI CL. Those are made there with very thin spread of PB & strawberry jam and then they dust them with powdered sugar-I'm hoping the powdered sugar is appealing to her.;)

I am certain that's what they are. They are exactly the same as the packaged ones they sell at Mara and Zawadi. :)

Not sure if this has been asked before, I haven't read the entire thread but... On check-out day do you still have access to the lounge after you've checked out? We usually take a late flight and it would be nice to have somewhere to go. This will be our first stay at BC CL.
Thanks,

Yes, you have access to the lounge on your check out day.

Thanks, that is good to know. On our last trip (not CL) we had a late flight, DH was so sick (got sick on the last day) and it was raining buckets all day. With no where to go that day felt like it lasted forever!!!
Thaks again for such a quick response:)

I don't remember the brand name but in December 2009 while I was in the Atrium Club lounge at the Contemporary, the PP&J sandwiches were wrapped in plastic and it was a whole sandwich. I also remember they were being sold at the Fantasia Market and were packaged the exact same way.

Not only do you have full use of the lounge that day but there are also showers/changing rooms in the fitness center that you can use. We always take the last flight out so we visit the park, swim, change in the fitness center and then hang out at the lounge before our ME bus comes.
