Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

I have been making my mousekeeping envelopes and wondered if anyone had ever seen club level or night time designs. I have the typical ones for the am mousekeeping but was hoping to find something more evening specific for the turn down service. We are staying CL at the WL and will be there in 8 days!

Can anyone tell me if they have ice machines at Boardwalk Inn?
As I love ice and I eat a lot of ice all day long.
 

Sorry if this has been asked before...
At the GF Sugar Loaf, do they have beer and wine available with appetizers, or is that only available later with cordials?

Hi folks. My husband and I will be staying CL at the Grand Floridian in August and I am so excited. I am surprising my husband with a romantic special weekend because he is such a hard working loving and kind father and husband.

My question is how much and often do you tip for mousekeeping. I have searched this topic and I am sorry I was not able to locate. THANKS.

On Friday I spoke to somone about dinner res. They said they would send itinerary, but I never got it. They also said they would leave as poster as a gift for my son's friend-his first visit. We never got any email so I sent one as a follow up and the CM said they could not guarantee a poster, did not send dining info still and told me the concierge could not have a park hopper pass ready for us if i gave credit card info-email did not seem friendly.

Is this true that they can not take care of park pass. My son and I already have ours. We are arriving around 11pm and going to AK as early as possible the next morning. I thought they could have this ready for me and surprised to be told no.

I've seen this question on here before, but there's been so many different opinions...I'd like to know, too!

We tip everyday as you may not have the same mousekeeper during your entire stay. We tip $5 a day for mousekeeping $2 for turn down service.

I looked everywhere for something different, too, but no luck. I just used what I had. We had 4 different designs that I pulled off the internet. If you find something for turn down service, send it this way!

I ended up making my own - googled search Sleepy disney character images - or something like that. I found a few good ones. Then I copied the image into a word document that was formatted for an envelope and wrote in Word Art - Thank you for the turn down service! Sweet dreams and Good Night! A little cheesy but it will work, I guess. I am not very creative - wish I could have come up with something better to write...but it's all good!

I haven't seen anything special for club level. What I did was use the same design for both regular service and turn down service. I just added a line (under the thank you part) that says "turndown service." so that I can tell the difference.
 
Another thing you can do if you bring cash. When we did our GG my oldest dd and her dh didn't want to charge anything - things were really tight for them back then (the trip was our treat). We had given them all $1000 in cash spending money along with the trip. She put most of it down on her KTTW card instead of a credit card. So if you are brining cash you can do that and not have to worry about carrying a large amount of cash around.

Do you know if she had any of the cash left over on her card? If so, how did they give it back to her? Say, if she only spent $600 of the cash, did they give her back $400 in cash or was it a credit of some kind?

Just had my first hiccup with the Poly IPO today...Was checking my online banking and saw a strange charge for $115 USD from WDW Dine. I called the IPO to find out if they made any ressies that I wasn't aware of ..the CM was so excited to say that "yes! we were able to book your pirate and pals fireworks cruise" :scared1:

Didn't request that one! I think DFi would kill me if I dragged him on that...I had originally requested the Wishes Dessert Party instead for that night...she immediately cancelled the pirate and pals cruise and put me back on the list for the wishes dessert party (as the booking still hasn't opened for that) and refunded my Visa.

I think it's great that they can automatically book you like that should a cancellation open but it still would be nice to get a confirmation call as in "hey we just booked this for you" then I could of caught the error sooner rather than it sitting on my Visa for a few weeks....

Overall the problem was rectified quickly and smoothly....

I'll check with her but I believe they told her that since she put cash down if there was any leftover it would be refunded in cash.
