What are the perks of Concierge? We're planning on staying at the Beach Club this November for our trip, and aren't sure if we should go Concierge or not. Is it really worth the difference(about $150.00 more/night)? We are a family of 5- 2 adults, and 3 dds 13,11,8. We'll be there on a business trip, so we won't be doing the parks everyday.
I'd really like to hear about everyone's experiences with Concierge at the Beach Club !
Thank You!!

Beach Club Concierge is one of our favorites. If you are not planning on eating at a lot of Disney restaurants, it's definitely worth it. Since you're a party of 5, you'll save a lot on breakfast and evening desserts/cordials!

Their staff is also great at booking those hard to get Priority Seatings - Cinderella's Royal Table, Princess Breakfast at Norway, etc. We were able to get front row seats at Cirque de Soleil when the Concierge booked it for us!

The staff there is very friendly and helpful. I am a certified Disney nut, and there was no WDW question they couldn't find an answer to, no matter bizarre.

Our kids like the snacks and drinks they have there, too. There's a TV in the lounge that usually has either a Disney movie playing or one of the Disney channels to entertain the kids while they eat.

I think Concierge is worth the extra $$ if you're traveling in a large group as you are.

Either way, I hope you enjoy your trip!:D

I ditto what wdw4us said...:)
I have stayed YC concierge about 6 times, they sahre a staff w/the BC concierge so I know everyone who works over there, they are amazing! not only is is s incredibly convenient to have the staff there all day to help w/priority seatings, answer questions, and just make some nice chit chat,
the lounge is great too, I find breakfast to be especially convenient, i love being able to go get my coffee, cereal & banana without a fuss in the morning,
it's nice to be able to get water, lemonade, soda..etc.. throughout the day and a snack if you'd like, wine and hor deuvres in the evening,a nd desserts and cordials in the later evening.

to me concierge is the only way to go!!! :)

We stayed at BC concierge two years ago....loved it , BUT the rooms near the concierge lounge are very small, smaller than other BC rooms we have stayed in. We actually bought in a the BC villas because my DH said he would never stay in a room that small again. I hope you weren't planning on packing 5 people in there! We were cramped with four. Just a word of warning.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

You may want to stay on a different floor but use the concierge lounge

We stayed in a deluxe room at the BC the first week of May. We loved it!! It will be hard to get my 3DS to try any other resort. By being in a deluxe room we had all the concierge services, but were on the 2nd floor. We had to take an elevator to the lounge, but our room was very big. There was plenty of room for 5. We had a full balcony and a great view. The biggest downfall was the walk to the elevator, but it wasn't bad at all.

Sounds nice........What type of a deluxe room? I think even a regular waterview room would be better and bigger than the concierge rooms( I think they are dormer rooms and that is why they are smaller):bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Is it really worth the difference(about $150.00 more/night)?

Depends. How much is your time worth? Concierge might save you $20-$30 at most on food for breakfast or a very light supper but you could always bring your own quick breakfast items and save the full $150 / night. What concierge gives you is the ability to grab a quick continental breakfast on the way to the bus. Or when not feeling well or not very hungry, a small amount of quick food instead of standing in line at Beaches and Creme for 30+ minutes trying to order a hot dog. Concierge is all about convienence and time, not about money. It is easier to make a last minute PS when heading out to each by looking at the CM's PS screen on their computer than trying to talk to someone over the phone after waiting who knows how long to get through.

Another time saver might be check-in. We always check-in around 7am so it never has been but if you catch it at the right time, the normal check-in could be 20-30 minutes and concierge might be 5 minutes. Of course the reverse is possible.
