Has anyone stayed at the Grand California at the Concierge Level? Is it worth it? Any added bonuses?

I don't have an answer for you right now but we will be staying concierge at the GCH in a week and a half and I'd be glad to get back with you if you'd like :)

If there's anything specific you might want me to check for you while we're there just let me know!

I'll be headed there in June so I will be interested to hear what you have to say about it. I have stayed at the GC many times but this will be my first time in concierge.

We stayed in the concierge in Nov. 05 and really enjoyed it. We mostly took advantage of the snacks/food. We're not too crazy about the dining at DL, so we were able to get a nice breakfast, take some bottled water, a snack at lunch, and some treats in the evening. Everytime we walked through we were grabbing a drink/snack, which really saved us money in the parks.

One tip, the soft drinks are in breakable bottles and you aren't allowed to bring them into the park, so you'll want to bring a mug to pour them into or ask for a styrofoam cup.

We enjoyed our stay there, and actually due to discounted rooms in October will be making a trip back with concierge. It really just depends on if you have the cash and what is important to you. We probably did not save the $150/day that it cost us to stay there, but we do like the convenience of grabbing breakfast, and then drinks and snacks throughout the day. Our 1st stay at the GCH we brought a case of water, a ton of soda, and a box of snacks. While this did save us a ton of money - and we will be doing it again in June when we stay at the HOJO - it was very nice to not have to worry about lugging the stuff to the room, and finding a place to keep it....

There really are no added perks that a regular guest there would not enjoy, with the exception of the concierge lounge. There was a staff on the level that helped us get autographed photos and balloons - but this too would be available to any guest.
