Quick question, I am going to see Billy Joel and Elton John in concert tomorrow night. It has been forever since I have been to a concert. Can you take cameras in?

Depends on the venue and the artist performing. Check it out at the venue's website. Most of the time they will say NO CAMERAS or RECORDING EQUIPMENT but usually many people use their cell phones to capture photos or short videos for their own use. Mostly they do not want people taking photos or video for profit.

The venue says No Professional equipment and that some artists don't allow it any cameras, but I can't find it anywhere on the concert website that says one way or another.

Take your camera. As long as it is a simple point and shoot, you'll be fine. Enjoy the concert! :)

I saw Trans Siberian Orchestra recently and the ticket said no cameras. There were so many people taking pictures and videos with their phones however. Didn't seem to be any attempts to police it. As long as you don't use a flash there would probably be no problem.

Call the venue!

I just bought tickets for Jimmy Buffett @ First Niagra Pavillion (outside Pittsburgh)... and I was trying to find the answer to this question!

Their website says to call the day of the show and ask because some artists allow cameras and others do not.

I saw Elton John and Billy Joel 2 weeks ago (AWESOME CONCERT!) and you were able to take cameras in. The venue may say no, but it's fine with the artists.

No help on the camera issue, but SO JEALOUS that you're going to see Billy Joel and Elton John!!

The Pepsi Center allows cameras....as long as it's a simple point and shoot take it in...I've found that a no flash setting takes better pictures than anything other there.

Have fun!!!:thumbsup2

You're so lucky to see any of this tour! It was announced over the weekend that the summer leg, which included Chicago (not that realistically, I'd be able to go, but maybe I could have won tickets) is cancelled because Billy Joel wants to take a year off. Have a great time!

Thanks everyone! I am really excited. I have never seen either one of them in concert, let alone the two together. I can't wait! This concert was rescheduled from November when Elton was sick.

I say take the camera and share your pics with me:woohoo:

It was an awesome concert, went 12 days ago, and I wish I would have brought a camera. Sadly I don't even have a camera phone and my husband left his in the hotel room!

It was an amazing show and it was a very long show. There were no intermissions at our show and I'm gathering every other place too. It was three hours of pure musical fun. It was so worth the wait of being rescheduled. I went for Elton John but found Billy Joel more personable than I thought he would be. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been too. It was also our son's first concert. He is now a big Billy Joel fan!

I saw them, too -- 18 years ago! Man, that makes me feel old. I had no idea they were touring together again. Have a GREAT time!

As long as you have a fixed lens (point and shoot) camera you should be fine.

Way back in the day I saw Billy Joel. Excellent performer! I'd love to see Elton John with him. Sooo jealous!

The concert was AMAZING!!!!! I did end up calling the venue and they said no cameras allowed so I ended up not taking it. There were tons of people there with them though. Oh well, I had a blast anyway. They were both great, but Billy Joel was fabulous with the audience. Very funny.
