My friend saw this show in Houston the night before & he had a blast, so I knew I'd probably have fun. I ran into Chris from Bowling For Soup at the show, so that was kinda funny. I didn't bother to take pictures of the 1st band because they weren't that great.
Here's the 2nd band, The Starting Line. They were okay, but they were big with the teeny boppers there.
Here's the point at which the drunk punk rocker chick in front of us kept talking to me. She was pretty cool & she bought my sister & I a couple rounds, so I couldn't complain too much.
Here is No Use For A Name. They rocked!
Right after this shot I jumped in the mosh pit. People stepped all over my shoes & my shoes got really dirty.
All the guys from the other bands came out & brought a cake for Matt's birthday. He ended up wearing the cake on his face though. They also gave him a novelty lovin' doll.
The guys add a back up singer.
Here's a couple of their songs if you guys want to hear what they sound like:
Dumb Reminders
Life Sized Mirror
Here's Sum 41.
They started playing 911 Is A Joke by Public Enemy & most of the crowd had no idea who Public Enemy was. I felt really old.
We stuck around afterwords to talk to a few of the guys...
Here's Rory from No Use. My sister said "if nothing else, I want his autograph!" I guess the drummers do occasionally get some fans.
Here's Matt from No Use (Tony decided to pop his head in there too - what is it with lead singers always having to be the center of attention?!
). Unfortunately the camera caught Matt at the exact moment that he realized I'm the guy that's been stalking him. Just kidding - I'm really stalking Tony.
Here's Tony, the lead singer of No Use. Matt decided to jump in this one, which was cool, though I really wish he wouldn't have gotten so handsy. The pepper spray put a stop to that right quick.
Here's Dave of No Use. Dave is drinking, uhm, milk. Yeah...you know that stuff does a body good & stuff.
*Sigh* Good times...I'm sure the restraining order is coming in a few days...
Here's a picture of Dave from Sum 41. This one was all my sister's deal. She was pretty put off that they were only talking to fans behind a gate though.
We jumped in the car & headed for home...in the wrong direction.
After finally being able to turn around, we then headed for home. We stopped at a Jack N The Box & they were actually able to make a Western Cheeseburger. This was the item that they got rid of in place of the Chili burger. All & all it was not a bad way to spend a Saturday night.
