Concerns about Hawaii 2022

I wouldn't stress too much about the Wonder missing from port calendars at this point. When the Wonder restarted in October you couldn't find her on any port calendar.
That’s good. Same thing with the Princess Grand. The media made such a big deal stating the “first cruise line” carnival and Norwegian signed port contracts with HI. Even people on the Princess Grand were worried if they would even be able to dock and then it turns out that the cruise line anD Hawaii had been working on a port deal in the background abd it just wasn’t publicized.

So I just checked port of vancouver and no Wonder on the schedule. Actually no schedule at all for 2022. Since I am having a non-productive day at work I decided to email their community relations and inquire on when they are releasing their 2022 schedule.. and speficially on the Wonder. Let's see if they respond.
Here's the port schedule for Alaska as per CLIA, updated most recently on December 14th. The Wonder is clearly on the schedule:

I thought Princess is a subsidiary of Carnival?

LOL Cruise Critic folks were actually analyzing that in the press releases said carnival cruise lines and not carnival corporation. It’s almost so funny one could cry but people are just simply over analyzing Every press release, port schedule and what not to try and figure out what the future holds

We are booked on NCL Pride for 5/28/2022. Hopefully this still will be happening but I also have doubts.

Thanks for the info, but am I missing something? I don’t see the Wonder leaving on April 26 on the schedule.
That calendar was just for Alaska cruises so it doesn’t show the Wonder’s dates for Hawaii. The pp’s point was just you can’t assume Hawaii is off the table because it is not on the Vancouver port schedule, since the Alaska cruises are still scheduled to be in Vancouver according to the CLIA schedule.

I wouldn’t put much stock into either schedule. The fact is nobody knows yet what is going to be happening in Vancouver in 2022.

We are seriously considering canceling our Pride reservation and just making it a Hawaii land trip and take island hopper planes to each place instead. It will most likely be cheaper too.

But there is still activity in the US legislature to eliminate the Canada stop permanently so the uncertainty is still in question.
Then the ships could not go up the inside passage. And Seattle cannot accommodate Disney ships as they are already booked up for th3 season. . If Canada cancelled again, there would be a good reason to do so anyway.

it does show up for Vancouver but worryingly not until May, it has all the dates listed for the Alaska season but not the Hawaii ones, hope it’s added soon in hopes I can relax a bit more that it will happen

On what website, out of interest? The Port of Vancouver website still isn’t showing a schedule for me.

I'm booked to Hawaii on the 26th as well....just to make sure I have this correct:
1. You need to test negative to get into Canada
2. You need to test negative to get on the Wonder
3. You need to test negative to disembark to Hawaii

I'm fully vaxxed and boosted but my son traveling with us is two so not even eligible for vaccine....so at some point at sea we need to test him again to get do port adventures?

Based on what I have observed on the current Hawaii sailings on Princess, they have not tested again for port adventures, but this is a vaxxed ship. I would take a look at what the Hawaii app requires for non-vaxxed minors.

My main concern and this might affect you is if Canada requires a 5 day quarantine to test out if non-vaxxed or selected for random testiing even if you are vaxxed. I believe Canada has a quarantine rule for non-vaxxed, not sure if this applys to those who cannot be vaxxed. I'd stay up to date on those details.

edit: check out Canada's requirements for those under 12 non-vaxxed...they have a page for that. on a different forum where they have a Canada section, one person noted that new travel guidelines are to come end this month. I think a lot has changed. Also a Canadian mentioned that the message was received by those in charge in BC, what all is on the line if this season doenst open.

On the Princess Grand sailing (the only sailing so far) I believe all passengers were tested a few days into the sailing as this was required by Hawai’i. Unfortunately that’s the only source of info so far (although a HAL and another Princess cruise departed yesterday so hopefully we’ll have more info soon).

When I go to the Disney web site and filter for cruises "8 to 13 nights" and "April + May 2022", I get:

Please Chart a Different Course
We don't mean to take the wind out of your sails, but there are no available cruises that match your request. Explore other selections for Leaving, Sailing to, Departing from or More Filters and we'll help find the cruise that's right for you.

Don't know what that "means" for existing reservations, but it looks like new bookings aren't being allowed, at least for now.

This. I keep checking too. Even though I think some have cancelled, I haven't seen any thing become available, but maybe they are grabbed quickly. Has anyone booked either of the Hawaii cruises recently?

There’s been an odd new person who’s just booked on the fb group for the first sailing so they have been up but it seems likely they’re not selling all (or even most) of the cabins that have been cancelled.
