Hello...i dont know if this is the correct place for this question, if its not please let me know.

I heard that it is very likely that Disney World will increase their ticket prices sometime in the summer.

Is there any way to find the historical price increases of the past 3 years..(regular/hopper)just trying to find out it is worth buying tickets now or later in the year.

Thanks for the help

Normally Ticket Price increases always go into effect on a Sunday. The earliest Disney will usually announce the increases is late on a Friday afternoon.

The only people who know in advance are some managers and high level people, the programmers for the ticketing computers, and the people who make signs and printed materials.

Often many of us who sell tickets find out when we come in and find that the prices on our terminals are changed, and the sheets we have in the booths to show Guests their choices are new.

For several years in had been in August, but in 2011 it was in mid-June.

We booked our early December trip to WDW last month, but I haven't been able to pay it off entirely yet. Anyone know if the yearly price increase might impact my trip?
TIA!:)

Once you book a package all the prices, including the tickets, are locked in. The only time there could be a change is (a) if there is a change in the tax rate, or (b) if you make changes to the tickets after a general ticket price increase.

And (a) there is nothing on the horizon the change the tax rate, and (b) if you want to change tickets wait until you actually check in and use the tickets and then do an upgrade and you avoid most of the price increase.

Does anybody know what was the increase per base ticket or per hopper ticket in the summer of 2011?

Was the increase $1 or $2 or was it a considerable increase?

One day adult base went up $3 from $82 to $85. Ten day went up $29 from $262 to $291.

Hopping and WPF&M went up $1 from $54 to $55.

Except hopping for a one-day only ticket went down $19 from $54 to $35.

so if I am planning to upgrade my 10 day tix to a Premier AP, doing it at the park after first use is good? we're going in August.

I couldn't post the link because i'm newly registered, but if you do a google search for 'allears ticket increase' you should find that information. For me, it was the first thing on the search results. From within the ticket increase link there is also another link on the same site that has a MYW Price History which breaks down the different types of tickets (e.g., parkhopper).

Just received this from Mousesavers last week. Disneyland go up today May 20th. WDW soon to follow

Disneyland (California) Ticket Prices WILL Go Up on SUNDAY!
As I've been predicting, Disneyland ticket prices are going up! Disney has announced that all Disneyland tickets, including Annual Passports, will go up this Sunday, May 20.

If you'd like to avoid the price increase, bear in mind that regular Disneyland (California) tickets currently being sold are valid for first use by December 31, 2012. If you're traveling before that time, you can get discounted prices on your tickets from ARES Travel. For details, click here.

Annual Pass prices usually go up on the same day as all the other tickets, so if you are within 30 days of your renewal date, I recommend renewing early if necessary, before prices go up. If you were planning to buy an Annual Pass for a future trip, you may want to buy a voucher soon, to avoid the price increase. (Annual Pass vouchers can be redeemed for up to 12 months. For more about vouchers, click here.) The only discounts on regular (non Southern California Resident) Disneyland Annual Passes are for members of Automobile Club of Southern California and Disney Vacation Club members (for a new Annual Pass only, not renewals).

Walt Disney World Ticket Prices Expected to Go Up Soon
There is no official word yet on Walt Disney World ticket increases, but I expect them soon!

Last year Walt Disney World ticket prices went up on the second Sunday in June. While Disney isn't completely consistent about when it raises admission prices -- prior to last year, it had been in August for several years -- one thing is almost certain: ticket prices will go up this summer. Now is the time to purchase tickets for upcoming trips!

Usually I am able to find out exactly when the prices will be going up, but only slightly in advance: generally I get the news on the Friday afternoon prior to a Sunday morning increase, so it's only about 36 hours' notice. Assuming I find out in advance again this year, I will send out an update announcing the imminent increase to all MouseSavers Hot Deals email subscribers. If you'd like to join that list, go here for directions.

If you'd like to avoid the price increase, bear in mind that regular Walt Disney World Magic Your Way tickets won't expire until 14 days after you start using them, so you can buy them years in advance if you wish. For great prices on multi-day Disney World tickets, check out the MouseSavers Newsletter exclusive prices at Undercover Tourist.

For more about vouchers, click here. The only discounts on Walt Disney World Annual and Seasonal Passes are for Florida Residents, members of Auto Club South and Disney Vacation Club members.
