Concerned about Restaurants . . .

at the Poly for my kids. We've always stayed at the moderates in the past and there was always something in the food court to please them. Am I going to have a problem with them at the Poly with the choices for them there? Is there some kind of food court type place there too?

They do have a small snack bar on the first floor. It has all the usuals, hamburgers, grilled chicken, fries etc. The restaurants also have some "normal" food on the menus.

Cap't Cooks is the name of the snack bar. It isn't really a food court, but does offer plenty of choices. We ate there a bit on our trip last June. It had enough to satisfy both my girls (8 and 12) and me.

Our party ended up at Kona Cafe one night. We weren't really in the mood for anything but burgers/fries, etc. They were happy to comply

Our kids really like Captain Cook's...they have to have a "mickey pizza" at least once during our stay, and there is a good variety of the usual fast food type items. Last time we stayed at the Poly we ate at O'Hanas for dinner and the kids were underwhelmed (at the time ages 11, 9 and 6); they loved the activities/games but did not enjoy the food (we seem to be a minority here as most posters love this restaurant). We haven't tried Kona Cafe with the kids....maybe this time.

This was a concern of mine also. We are a POFQ family, but sometimes we do upgrade. Breakfast was the hardest thing for us since we are used to the huge food court selection. So we got a cooler for the room and stocked it with staples and then had an early lunch in the parks. That worked pretty well. We avoided the crowds.

Captain Cooks in ok. I always feel like I wait to long.

We did do Kona foe breakfast a few times and once for dinner.
