Computers are starting to show all tables....

I just posted this on the "I lied to get an ADR" thread and figured I would post it again in a new thread so that everyone can read it. I heard that the computers that dining CMs use to make ADRs are getting changed, so that the CMs can see everything thats available, and not by party size. Well, I think the changes are starting to happen...

I just tried to see if I could switch my Teppan Edo time and date and the woman I talked to looked it up, showed availablity but only for 1 person. At first she told me there was availablity for both DH and I and even gave me 2 times to choose from..and so I went and changed my Marrakesh ADR for a lunch, got that all booked and then when she went to make my Teppan Edo ADR she couldnt because it was a spot for 1 person, not 1 table. She at first couldnt figure out why it was saying there was something available but the computer wouldnt let her book it. So she put me on hold and had to ask someone and then came back and told me it was for 1 person. Not a table. So I had to keep everything the same and cancel the new Marrakesh ADR.

So it is at a point now I think they are seeing everything available, because before when I made the call a couple days ago, and try to change Teppan Edo to the same date, the guy told me there was nothing available.

But the way this is happening now, any restaurants that has seating like Teppan Edo, CM's are gonna have to remember, they might see 1 availablity, but they are gonna gave to remember its for 1 person..not a table for 2 or whatever.

Teppan Edo dont have regular tables. They all sit 8 per table like bar seating so a few families / couples will be dining at the same table.

Teppan Edo is a group seating restaurant. So there could be only one spot available there since you seat with other people and the chef cooks in front of you. It's not that they have a table for one.

I called last week to change around our MK and AK days and ADRs. I couldn't get anything for my group. The CM did tell me that he could see the tables and one was on one side of the restaurant and the other was on the other side of the restaurant. I thought this was strange because although they are ADRs now, doesn't it still works like the Priority Seating? You get the next available table? Must be the new system?

1) I do not understand.
2) When I look at an eatery, I see all the open tables, by ressie time.
3) Always did.
4) It gives you the ressie time -- number of tables -- table size.

5) Someone was way off the mark.
6) They system doesn't work like that.
7) Even for pre-assigned tables such as HDDR.
8) For ADR's there is no way to know when a table becomes available for you.
