Computer Vs. Hotline for Reservation

I have been checking everyday for a room to open up at AoA for our dates with no luck. I am wondering if it is better to call rather than check on the computer? I called once and asked the CM this question and she said the website worked just as well. I know CM are notoriously misinformed so does anyone here know anything about this?
