Computer issue--Java???

I posted yesterday about not being able to open some pictures on a link from our real estate agent. I think, in my limited computer expertise, that it is a Java issue. Is there a setting someplace that I can get this Javascript thing to run? Is it maybe a setting on my firewall or something? I forwarded the email to DH at work and his works fine so it is something on our computer.

First: Amazing at it may be, Java and JavaScript have absolutely nothing to do with each other. They're not even remotely related. It was a very unfortunately choice of duplicate use of the word "Java" -- nothing more.

Now, having said that, the answer to your question depends on whether you're really having a problem with Java or rather with JavaScript. Both are individually controlled within the browser settings. However, to help you with that, we'll need to know which browser are you using. Also, Java could be affected by things on your computer other than just the browser settings.

See, I told you I have limited computer expertise. I did the "view source" thing that someone else recommended on my other thread and it has a lot of references to javascript so I am going to guess that is what it is. I am using Internet Explorer on Windows XP.
