Ok so I had Office 2007 trial and Office 2003 installed. I uninstalled 2007 last night and now 2003 wont work. I put the cd in and tried to reinstall it that way and it said it was installed. Now it wont work, what do I do?

Did you uninstall 2003 before trying to reinstall it? If not, you probably should.

Using the add/remove programs menu you can run a repair on Office 2K3. There were a lot of changes between 2K3 and 2K7 so 2K7 probably over wrote a lot of the core program files and they were then erased when you uninstalled it. While you were doing the uninstall there were probably a lot of notifications that you were about to removed a program file (usually a dll) that would make any other program using it not function properly. If you clicked yes you probably removed files that Office 2K3 needs as well.

If the repair doesn't work it is no big deal. Just use the add/remove menu to uninstall 2K3 and then reinstall it from scratch remembering to go to the Office Update site and reinstall any patches or service packs.

We've decided to abandon Office altogether and use OpenOffice instead.
It's free and it's not Microsoft.

Good point. Neo Office is also a good option. We use or have used both for our Mac.

Jumping on board with a Mac problem. I tried to upgrade from Firefox 2.0 to 3.3 on my ibook. I tried to download it and it won't move to my application folder and will not open my browser anymore. Any Mac techs have any ideas? Would greatly appreciate it!!

Well after 3 uninstalls (yes, it took 3) and two reinstalls (yep, it took 2) it finally decied to work THANK GOODNESS.
