Comprehensive deluxe resort comparison?

Does anyone know of a comprehensive resort comparison for the deluxe resorts?

Like, I'm looking for a table type chart that has all the resorts along the top or side, and all the different things each offers with a tick in that column/row.

I'd like it to be fairly detailed with things like, walking distance to _______ park, beachside/poolside movies, drop off points for buses etc.

Can anyone think of if they've seen one before?

Originally I thought I'd love to stay at the contemporary as my deluxe choice due to the monorail, walking distance to MK and the modern theming of the rooms (unfortunately, I don't like loud, bright bedding and theming) but then I read on here something about the Beach club having a sand bottomed pool and that sounds awesome, and it's walking distance to Epcot which I also like the sound of.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've never seen anything like that for all the deluxes in a table. Maybe allears or another site has an article about deluxes that mentions some of that, but I don't think it will be as comprehensive as what you are describing.

I haven't seen a single chart listing the things you're asking about. There are threads that discuss each resort in depth and you might be able to make your own chart.

if there was (i've never seen one), i wouldn't think that much detail (e.g., bedding color) would be included.
most amenities are the same at deluxes, and room type (suite, view, conciege, etc) can change/add some.
i agree with vicki: check out each on allears.net (which will let you know of the amenities, etc of each, as well as a price chart and reviews), and the resort specific threads here.

There's a book called the Unofficial Guide to WDW that has loads of information about all the resorts, including a big map of each including where all the bus stops are etc. but it has many pages, the info is too complex to have it all in table form. To see photos of the inside of each room check All Ears.net
Or stop by AAA for a color brochure. The Unofficial Guide does have a chart with transportation times from one place to another that is very imformative.

I also think WDW The Unofficial Guide will be very informative. They have in depth info on all the resorts, and very good touring plans too. They also have a web site Touringplans.com which also has a handy Crowd Calendar that tells you which park is the least crowded each day.

Passporter book is also good, and compliments Unofficial Guide very well.

Allears.net has loads of resort pics, video, and fact sheets. It also lists the menus of all the WDW restaurants, and prices.

Mousesavers.com is another great site with loads of info.

The Unofficial Guide has tables upon tables upon tables.

They rate the resorts from everything to soundproofing to lighting (seriously, they do!) There's also a chart detailing the distance from each resort to each of the theme parks.

Even an outdated version of the book would do fine.

But, failing that, let me offer my opinions on two of the Deluxe resorts we've stayed at:
1. The Poly.
We loved it. It's on the monorail line, a very short ride to the Magic Kingdom. And it's a very short walk to the TTC, where you can get the monorail to Epcot It's lush and tropical, with flowers eveywhere. There's music softly playing in the background as you go from one building (aka "Longhouse") to the next. The volcano pool was a huge hit-- it has a great slide, and sitting beneath the waterfall is wonderful for your back.

It really is a wonderful counterpoint to the frenetic craziness of the parks.

2. The Beach Club. We decided to try it last year after one of my daughter's friends raved about it being "right across the street" from Epcot. (When the tour guides say it's close, I take it with a grain of salt. But when an 11 year old says it, I believe it.) And she was right-- though there's no 'street' to cross. It was a 3 or 4 minute walk. And it's a short, lovely boat ride to Hollywood Studios (sorry, but in the August heat we weren't walking an extra mile or so, even though they say it's walkable.)

The pool is called StormAlong Bay, and it's actually a 3 acre complex of several almost-connecting pools. The sand bottom is lovely, and my kids could happily live in StormAlong Bay. (Same daughter told all her friends "We're going to a resort where the pool is so big it has its own MAP!!")

The resort itself is lovely-- tranquil and pretty. And the CMs were absolutely amazing when we faced a medical issue that had my husband in the Emergency Room of a local hospital.

And, as an added plus, we saved a few hundred dollars over the Poly!

As of right now, most of us prefer the Beach Club. (My 15 year old son, who adores the monorail, is still pulling for the Poly.)

Like to add that CR and BLT are great to walk to/from MK. For most trips we skip the fireworks and night parades because it was so time consuming to get home. The walk is so easy here that we now come and go some times 4/5 times in one day
The monorail going through lobby is always + too!

GF , well it really is grande!. So many little touches at this resort. Many feel it is stuffy but the CM's are wonderful. One quick stop to MK and can walk to Poly. We finally did that in May in the view of 7seas lagoon was pretty.

Lastly I like to use google maps and explore the Disney complex. Some maps (google or bing) will bring resorts to 3D detail. It is fun to "walk" around the parks and resorts. Very cool ( well for my age, my kids )

Yep, can't beat the CR for location to MK. There is nothing quite like being able to just walk back and forth when you want.

Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Guides have a really nice resort section with a table type chart
