My DH will give a passive, "it was good" when I ask him if he likes something that I've made for dinner.
When do I find out what he really liked? When he asks friends over for dinner.
We're having friends over on Saturday night and I wanted to get to the store before the snow and bitter cold that's coming. I asked what he wanted me to make. Veal t-bones, homemade mac and cheese and creamed spinach. While this is not the combination of items I would put together, evidently he really likes these things and wants to show them off to our friends.
I guess I should ask him what he wants for dessert, too.

His mom was the type who followed recipes word for word, while Im more of an improviser. I can tell he likes something when he goes for seconds or more. He will also tell me its good. He sometimes asks how I made it, which either means He really liked it or please dont make it again. He usually makes it clear which one it is though.
Seriously, ewwwwww! Fortunately he's never done it in public and doesn't do it in front of the kids but honestly!
