Complicated ticket ?

ex purchased annual AP for DD (15). I am taking DD to Disney during her spring break which is a blackout date for her goldpass. I called to upgrade her pass and they said it could only be done at the park by DVC member. I am not a DVC member and Ex is not coming in my vacation and not willing to call and try and help. He did give me his DVc number so if I can upgrade in person- that would be fine. So- as of right now, I cannot make fast passes for her and our trip is in less than a month. Do you think I will be able to upgrade her pass since I have his DVC membership. Note- I am not trying to purchase one for myself or anything- simply upgrade her pass which expires in aug.

I have no idea if you'll have issues upgrading to the Platinum or not. If they do upgrade, it will expire on the same day as the original gold pass. If you could convince your ex to call, they could maybe put a note in the computer system to ease things along. I'd also call ticketing directly and explain the situation to see if they could at least give you a code or set the account to enable to enable fastpasses.

Her AP does not expire until the end of Aug. we are going in July and Aug without issue - she is just blocked out over her spring break. I wonder if I could renew it four months early- now that I think about it- I probably can’t even renew it since I can’t upgrade it

We had a note put on the account so my son and I could pick up DVC passes without then-husband who was the member when I was just the associate. Neither of us changed our last names when we married, so there was no easy proof that his member card was linked to me at all (and I believe we were in an off cycle of driver's license matching DVC membership address, because WA state doesn't require that you get a new license with every address change). He was present in Orlando, but injured and staying in the room while we went off to hit the parks.

Anyway, long way of saying that they might be able to put a note on her account.

I'd definitely look at that although with the surge pricing it's probably more.

Sorry OP but I don't think I've heard of anyone being able to upgrade an AP over the phone. I don't really know what sense that makes and it ties your hands with FP's. What you could do is purchase a ticket that would allow you to make FP's and then with proper notations upgrade her when you arrive and use the ticket later. It would allow the FP's to be selected at least.

Oh - and as far as upgrading the pass. Yes, I think you'll probably be able to do it but you'll need a copy of his DVC membership card and he should call and ask them to note on the membership about the upgrade.

You can renew an AP up to 60 prior to expiration and 30 days after.

Also, if you have a military ID...there is a great price on Military tickets. They are limited to only 4 or 5 days, though and can't be added on to or extended. They have to be purchased/ordered on base quite sometime before your trip. I'm taking people with me in June, and one of them is retired military. I think a 5 day hopper was in the neighborhood of $250 for adults, I don't know if the is a further discount for kids up to age 9, as the youngest in our group is 10.
