Complicated FP 1 day ticket/reassigning questions

Long and short, I have 2 1 day tickets that I booked FPs for my husband on 5/11 and 5/12. We later worked out that it would be better for him to have an annual pass, so he will be using his AP for 5/11-12 and the 1 day tickets will be going to my brother and sister, who will be using them on 5/7.

Questions-
1. If I reassign the tickets, do they retain their FPs?
2. If I don't reassign the tickets, and they use them on 5/7, will they retain their FPs for 5/11 and 12 once the ticket is used up?
3. What is the best way to work this so the most people get the most FPs?

1. Is his AP linked to him? If yes, he won't lose any FPs.
2. If you don't reassign them, they can't book FPs. Without AP ticket entitlements linked up, your DH loses the FPs.
3. If the AP is linked, just reassign the tickets.

After reassigning the tickets to the people going on the 7th, they can book FPs as soon as the tickets are reassigned to them.

His AP is linked to him as John Smith, the 1 day tickets are linked to him as Johnny Smith (it's a different profile, I goofed).
I booked FPs on 5/7 under his AP, so bro and sis could conceivably use his AP band and his FPs while using the 1 day ticket for entry (he won't be going in on 5/7).

Is AP already activated?

Or, is it unused? If unused and not activated, you can move it to Johnny.

As soon as the one-day tickets are used for entry, the FPs booked for the 11th and 12th disappear the following day.

The AP is unused/not activated but has Pandora FPs on it for later in the month. Can I reassign it to Johnny without losing those?

Having FPs that you need sitting on two Profile lines, you're going to lose a set either way.

As soon as the one-day ticket entitlements are gone (reassign or used) there goes whichever FPs are on that Profile line.

Just tell the two family members to buy their own tickets. That's the only way for you to retain all the FPs for your DH.

APs are fingerprint linked so whoever uses it first in "belongs" to, so don't let anyone but your dh use it. The others can use the signals without moving them to a different profile in theory since they are 1 day tickets. But honestly you are going to lose at least one day of fast passes. I would pick which ones you are wiling to part with and move those tickets to the proper profile (so all the tickets would be tighter) and then you can move the duplicates where you need them.

raenstoirm ~ only the DH will be using the AP for park entrance. If the friends enter the park with the one-day tickets, DH loses two days worth of pre-booked FPs.

Ok, I will reassign the tickets and see if I can get similar FPs for the people that need them and see if I can add hubby's AP to the FPs I hold on 5/11 and 12. We are more than 30 days out still so FP availability isn't terrible.

Just go to each of your booked FPs on the 11th and 12th and "Change Party" to see if the system will add him to yours.

If not, look for an overlapping return window for him. Good luck! :)

Ok, I added him where possible to my current reservations, and then reassigned the tickets. I then was able to modify my party, take off Johnny Smith and add Bro or Sis in Johnny's place (on things like FEA and 7DMT where I couldn't add another to the party or find an overlapping FP, this was really nice). All's well!

Thank @hiroMYhero for your help :)

Since you goofed buying the AP, call up disney and tell them you made a mistake and they might be able to get their IT group to merge them with fastpasses.

edit: I see you just went for it, it might not be too late if you really want to try to get it back and have the time to call and we'll all cross our fingers for you.
