Hi all:thumbsup2

I have a complicated booking question (or at least its complicated in my head!;)) and I wondered whether I could run it passed you and if you could confirm whether it is even possible??!!!:)

I currently have two consecutive reservations at BLT and AKV over a 10 day period in January. We are travelling with my mom so the 5 of us are sharing 1 bed villas at both resorts.

With the arrival of VGF, I was considering trying my luck at booking a couple of nights there for my mom. She LOVES GF and I thought I'd see if I could get a studio there. At the moment though I am undecided as to whether I want to actually give up my lovely BLT/AKV 1 beds for us to all share the studio - so.....

Is it possible to ring MS and book a studio that overlaps with my existing 1 Bed reservations? I guess I would need to move my moms name to the new VGF booking and leave the BLT/AKV bookings in the rest of our names? But would it be ok to keep Mom's name on the other dates (as she will still be with us the rest of the trip)? And if then we decide that we want to cancel some of our 1 bed nights to join Mom in the VGF studio, is it simple enough to cancel the 2 BLT/AKV nights and add our names later on to her VGF booking?

I have a feeling I am making this all more complicated than it needs to be!!:thumbsup2 I think I am just getting carried away with all the VGF excitement, and whilst I know my Mom would love to stay there - I think we might well be happier staying put in our bigger 1 bed rooms!:thumbsup2

Anyway thanks for any info:thumbsup2

I don't think you can have two reservations with the same name for the same time. Maybe someone else can confirm that. But you physically can't be in two places at once, and since Disney requires the name of all persons staying in the room, on the reservation, I don't know.

But I can tell you that as a non owner of VGF, I don't think you can make your reservation until June 23rd.

I often book a couple of rooms before we are certain who will be joining us on the trip. I usually just put only my name on one room and my DH on the other. Once we know the actual guests I call and add them and move my DH with me. That way I grab what I know we need at 11 months. But I know I can't put my name on both.

I currently have VGF and BLT booked for the same days for part of our trip. BLT has everyone's info, VGF is in my maiden name. I borrowed points for the whole trip and either have to shuffle the points, rebook VGF with other points, or cancel the VGF res. or I guess I can just eat the loss of the borrowed points if I cancel the BLT and keep my VGF booked with VGF points. Hope that made sense.

I've done this. Didn't seem to be a problem during calls to ms. I think I did it online too. We'll keep whatever we have someplace else and book a mid trip studio at bcv as a pool day.

Thanks everyone:thumbsup2 I think I am going to 'go for it'!!:)

I was nervous about trying to explain myself to MS, but from what you've all said it sounds as though they get this all of the time!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the reassurance:thumbsup2

Someone can be a lead guest on one reservation and a secondary guest on the other.

I have done this with my daughter for our August trip.

Thanks ever so much Sandi - that's great news - makes things so much easier:thumbsup2 I was a bit worried that if I started removing my mom's names from the existing reservations that things might start going wrong (eg bookings being cancelled!!) - so if I can just leave her on as a secondary name, then that would be much easier!!:thumbsup2
