Really a little confused and annoyed - booked Hotel Cheyenne for our 5th trip and was really happy with the price - just as i was about to book and put it my credit card it said your "total cost of your stay is £524.50 and i was happy with this. I then put in my card details and on the next confirmation page it said you have been charged £538.50 but my email notification confirmed my stay for £524.50 so i just thought i'd keep an eye on my credit card that it was an error.

The day after my booking I received an email saying I had to pay £14 (which brings me over my budget) I rang DL and firstly got through to a very unhelpful guy who basically said tough you have to pay £14, that when everything was added up it totaled to the sum of £538.50. I then asked to speak to someone else and was put through to Customer Care and was speaking to a lovely lady who could see my side of things and said that there was an error with their system. She advised said email back the person who emailed you - I have sent my an email Thursday and another this morning and am waiting for a reply. Really starting to panic because i have booked my flights but don't see any charge for my booking for disneyland on my card yet.

So just really really annoyed - when i rang i said i would be willing to take off the standard insurance to bring myself under my budget (I wouldn't have taken the optional insurance if I knew it would bring me over my budget) but I was told that wasn't an option. Really feel a bit upset by this commotion.

So just wondering did this ever happen anyone else?

Ring up & cancel the insurance, you should have a 14 day cooling off period for insurance.

Then look online for insurance as it will be cheaper then Disney charge.

It's very odd. :confused3 We booked online and had to pay a credit card fee of £9 but it stated this very clearly early on in the booking process and anyhow that was £9 not £14.

I believe it can take several days for the payment to show on your credit card so I wouldn't worry necessarily about that. However, I wonder if it is worth speaking to your credit card company - you could explain that you have a dispute about the final amount and see what they advise.

Hope you get a result soon.

yeah i know its very odd - i always thought there was an insurance cooling off period but the said no. Still waiting for email reply back.
