We were there last year and loved it and I highly recommend it if you have younger kids. My kids just loved the pool!
Also, I would not count out MGM just because you're going to Universal -- totally different parks. We LOVED MGM and so did our kids!

I don't know about the rest of the USA, but I've seen on several High School homepages, that school starts ( in Orlando ) on the 12th of August - so let's hope that all the schools do that!!

Down here in south FL, school does not start until the end of August. Are you sure about Orlando? I wouldn't worry about FL Residents. Most people I know avoid Disney like the plague in summer!For most of us Floridians Disney conjures up childhood memories of extreme heat and lines!!! Nobody believes me when I tell them we never have waits!
