The cuteness and creativity of the shape being the journal box outweighs the fact that it is a bit too small. I went back and looked and it is already double-matted so it is fine. And yes, just like AWM said, creativity is worth more than exact guidelines sometimes. Plus the fact that some people don't journal that much anyway so that shape will be more than enough for them. I think your page is darling and you should leave it the way it is. I can't wait to see the Daisy side!!!! Now I'm wishing I was in that group!

Can the title be a phrase that runs across both pages of the layout? (KWIM?) My only concern would be that people won't be able to use the pages separately.

I don't think the pages are meant to be used seperately. This is a two page layout, so I think the title going across both pages is acceptable. I think it'll look really cool too!
