Any "swap" organizational tips, for a newbie, would be appreciated. I've made several lists, several times. I've already made lots of trips to HL, Jo's And M's-not great for the Ban, but I am having fun..... Thanks, Vicki

I try to sketch my ideas out and pick out colors before I ever buy anything. Next, I check my stash to see what I have that will work with the colors I have in mind. Then I shop to get more paper to match what I already have or buy more as needed. I rarely purchase embellishments like Jolee's or stickers for my swaps. I try to make all of my embellies with the Cricut, punches, etc. I also use lots of Primas and ribbon.

I store everything for a given swap in a 2 gallon plastic zipper bag so that it all stays together. You can fit A LOT of paper, ribbon, embellies, etc. in one bag so it works well.

I also like scrappindeals.com and baraginpack.com.

When I see good stuff at a great price - I will buy 6 if the budget can afford it at the time and then put it to the side and just wait for a swap and hope that I can get that spot....it usually works out tha tI can.

Since we are making 5 of our l/o's and there are 5 in each group, do we get back the one we made ourself so I don't need to make an extra one for my own book?

* My SIL is losing her battle with lung cancer-she is 41 with three kids-8,9,11 father not in picture. We will have have custody of the kids. I scrap for therapy and love it, but I may have the kids sooner than we thought. We had them this weekend. Her bad days seem to be getting more frequent*
