We signed up for the GAD promotion through an agency called Humanity First. We had to drive almost an hour which is fine because of where we live. It was a food bank in Concord (near Vaughn.) We met some nice people. It was a very positive experience. They were very accomodating because I wanted to come right away since our trip is in three weeks and you need to leave two weeks for Disney to send your ceritificate. We plan to use our certificates to get the special fastpasses for our whole family to use for two days of our upcoming trip. Just thought I'd fill in my Canadian friends because so often these promotions are only for Americans!

That's great....glad to hear you found something that worked for your family.

BTW, if you are going to WDW in a few weeks it's not likely to be that busy that you would really benefit from those FP's. I've been there the end of January into the beginning of February and the rides have always been pretty much a walk on. The longest wait I can recall was 5 minutes.

Well if there are no lineups we won't redeem the certs for the fastpasses and my daughter and I will just get the special pin/figurine.

If you don't have a use for the park admission might I suggest that you donate the tickets to Dreams Take Flight. It's an incredible organization that takes kids from various backgrounds, some are ill but many are disadvantaged, to WDW for the day. Air Canada donates the aircraft and the AC staff donate their time. The chaperones all donate there time as well. We had the priviledge of working on the pre-flight program/entertainment a few years ago and when we watched the kids board the aircraft my DD and I started to cry. It was the most amazing experience of my life. Knowing what kind of day was ahead for all those kids.

Something to think about, for sure!

That's great, that was the organization that I wanted to volunteer with.I have just realized that all along, my interest requests haven't been sent; I was using Internet Explorer and filling out the online forms, but I would never hear back from anyone. I switched to my mac today and used safari and I got a reply pretty quickly after that. I could've been something with my firewall or something. Hopefully, now I can get moving on this as we're going in March.

I am a volunteer with Dreams Take Flight. It is an amazing organization. It is not part of the Give a Day Get a Disney Day but there is the opportunity to donate the ticket.

That is my plan with the ticket I hope to earn. My event isn't until April so I hope there are still tickets left.

Dreams Take Flight have to purchase the individual park tickets for the children and escorts so any donations are really appreciated.

We are volunteering next weekend (January 30) in Richmond Hill.

Also planning on using the Fastpass option the week before labour day.

Anyone know all the options with the GAD tix?

- Free Day at a Disney Park
- Fastpass (details anyone)
- Someone mentioned a pin...(what kind of pin?)
- Donate it to Dreams take flight

Any other options?
