It would be a 3400 mile round trip (and that doesn't include side trips) which is just too much for the 2 of us to drive, especially since Rachel still only has her permit. I'm bummed!!! I guess we'll be "road tripping" closer to home.

Kristi--DH and I had to cancel our cruise today We're going to go to DLR in October instead (that is a little more budget friendly We will still be cruising to Alaska, just not in September. So if you have made any cruise pieces I'll still be able to use them.

That's too bad, but the same thing happened to us last year. We were going to do a kidless cruise for our 20th anniversary, but the cost exceeded our funds. But we ended up doing the same thing, we went to Disneyland for a week (we have annual passes, so that didn't cost us anything), so it was more friendly on our budget. I have already done some things for your cruise, but I can change and do something else. Will you be going to the Halloween party at Disneyland when you come in October? We go every year and have a lot of fun.

No, no I don't want you to have to change I know you've been working hard on the pieces and I'll definately be able to use them in the future Yep, I'm planning for the Halloween party--I love character meet & greets and special fireworks

I think they sorta hibernate. not sure cause the ones we have here who are used to humans don't. we just see them less.

What about the ice rink? the Christmas tree? store window decorations?

We have squirrels all year out...like Rachal said just see them a little less when it's colder. Although Pa Ny & Nj seem to be having more mild winters recently. Just a skyline shadow type thing would even be good. They have horse and carriage rides through central park. FAO Schwarz is a fun holiday attraction. Ice tink like racial said. You could make a huge tree becauce if you are in Ny at Christmas you have to go to rockafellar center. Oh....you could make some big snowflakes. Huge snowflakes dance on the saks building. The macys windows are also amazing. And are they doing Chinatown or little Italy?

Here's what I decided...
Went ahead with the squirrels,
One of the toppers that could have worked either way is now a paper piecing
Know where I'm going with now the last topper
I need one topper and 2 mats to be current.
Those were all great ideas and if we do a 2 page lay out again I will definitely be thinking about those windows!
The reason I couldnt go buy something at Jo's was it was supposed to be a pp and Ive been checking and we dont have that much. We have alot of Cali and Vegas tho! Wonder why?

Did anyone ever watch "Will and Grace"? Those windows just made me think of the episode where Jack was going to do the windows and without him knowing it Grace took over and then he said he believed in Santa! Love that one!
