Erin, I always restart and make sure all the wires/cords are pushed in and not loose. Otherwise I am not very good with advice on computers.

I am sitting really good right now. I have 2 paper piecings done, 2 in progress and know where I'm going, I think. Everything is done.
We return on the 24th. Maybe I could work this out with Michelle somehow or maybe she will fit in the carryon too? Maybe we all need to eat one of Alice's cookies?

I will probably mail the 22nd or 23rd so the package isn't delivered to an empty house or stuck at the PO (which sometimes scares me, at least my PO). Does that sound like a good plan?

Yeah...cant even restart because there is nothing on the screen. Took battery out & hoping that helps to let it sit a bit. Otherwise I may be laptop shopping. It just stinks because I will have to pay to get a bunch of stuff off. My fonts svg files etc...ugh!

Could you try hooking it up to another monitor- we had a screen go out on a laptop and it was working but we had to plug in another screen and change the monitor in order to see what was happening on the laptop. If so you would be able to save anything on the computer- just not the laptop itself (we actually used ours off and on over another year with another monitor but makes it more into a desktop having to tote around an extra monitor. Good luck!

One of the advantages to being married to a Geek is that we have lots of computer parts around although the last time my computer crashed we had to pull out the hard drive and buy a new case in order to get my files off it. I still haven't put my craftrobo controller back onto the computer.

I'm hoping its not the hard drive...I want to get my files. Luckily my pictures are all uploaded or printed. So that's a plus! But my svgs and fonts. I can get them all again but I have no idea what all I have. If they say it is the monitor maybe I can take it to my dads and hook it up to pull my files off. At least that saves me $100.

I just neede to know how to handle this other thing.... I am not taking scrapping on the cruise with me. The only thing Im doing is sitting on a verandah drinking a Pina Colda!
