Hi all,

I'm sorry if this ends up being a long post, but I am trying to plan a trip to DLP Feb 2016, and am so confused.

I am booking the hotel through Thomas Cook as I have vouchers which help towards the cost, am looking at Cheyenne as some friends have been and they've said this is a decent budget hotel. Also doing a half board meal plan, so think I've got that bit sorted.

It's the travelling there that's got me confused. Looks like the easiest way is Eurostar, but obviously can't see prices, times etc for next year yet. I'd also have to travel from Bristol to London - so am thinking it best to catch a train to London and then get to St Pancras to catch the Eurostar?
Am trying to figure out what times the trains leave ST Pancras, so I can try and catch an early train in the morning, rather than have to pay for a hotel in London on either end of the trip too.
Some are saying it works out cheaper to travel by Eurotunnel, but that would be 3 hours to Folkestone and then the 3 hours to DLP once we got to France. Thinking that might be a bit much for my 4 & 6 year old.

If anyone has any tips on the travelling part I'd very much appreciate it.

Am I also right in thinking that I can pack drinks and snacks etc in my bags on the Eurostar? Hoping to be able to take that type of thing with me so I can save a bit of money once there.

Thanks in advance for any help

I have family travelling down from Glasgow in summer to go to DLP but because of the early trains to Disneyland Paris, they will be arriving the night before and staying in a hotel.

I'm travelling out on 8 Feb this year and the direct train leaves st pancras at 10:15 but it's worth noting that this was the first direct train out this year as direct trains weren't running through Jan for some reason...don't know if this was due to maintence works or if this will be a regular thing.

There is no issue in taking drinks and snacks on the Eurostar, I usually make a little train picnic for myself that includes some cheese, meats and a small bottle of champagne and I've never had an issue!

If it were me, I would travel the night before, get a good night sleep then travel to DLP the next morning because once you are in the parks it can be a very long day, especially if your staying put for dreams, so it would be a lot for the kids.

Good luck with your planning x

Hi I'm also going feb 2016 :)
We always stay over night in a travelodge there are lots in that area that are not expensive you can book 11 before to get the super cheap price :)
Sunday nights are super cheap so try making that your over night I will be doing that :)
Travelodge central royal Scott good.
Do NOT book Eurostar with travel agent tour direct service will be out this august
I will be booking then too.
Yes you can take food and drinks in the Eurostar no bother at all.

I would also recommending travelling up the night before if you can - saves the hassle of trying to get the timing right the next day and having to set off really early. If driving is an option I would consider catching the Eurostar from Ebbsfleet or Ashford. It's a bit further round the M25 but probably less hassle than getting into London. There are plenty of Premier Inns or similar near both stations which will be cheaper than the London hotels. The cheapest parking options at the train stations are £5 per day.
