So, I just booked a disney vacation for Easter week. I tried to make ADR for a few days that week for a party of 5. (nothing real popular ) - just mid-level - somewhere to eat dinner type places. No dice. Am I just SOL? or has anyone had success with walk ups?

I found some decent ones. Are you looking for specific restaurants? You can definitely book options that are decent. High demand, not likely. Maybe more off hours. What days/locations do you want? I would recommend you use a Disney planner. They can help you with this…?

Did you try looking for tables for 6 people? The Disney ADR booking site does NOT like odd numbers! If you book for 6 and show up with only 5, there's no penalty. This is a very common workaround for a very common problem with Disney's IT.

What days are you looking for? Any specific restaurant?

I always look at what's last minute as people change their plans all the time. I just looked for tomorrow night, party of 5. I saw BOG, Liberty Tree, Storybook, Chef Mickeys, California Grill. Hollywood and Vine, Garden Grill, Ogas, all decent times, all party of 5. Most in the 5:00-6:30 range. Don't despair, just keep checking and always look for last minute while at Disney!
Try both 5 and 6 people. One time I wasn’t able to get 6 for garden grill but I could get 5. I tried and tried but couldn’t get that 6th not even with a modify. I did well with the search last night using 5 people as I noted above and those were just the more popular ones that were available. There were also restaurants like the Plaza, La Hacienda, is Napoli etc available

Easter week is well beyond the 60 days now. We are going that week and I’ve been searching for some of the ones I didn’t get. I was able to get Ale & compass breakfast on the 23rd though later on

OP, sign up to get alerts. There are a couple of services out there who will send you alerts when there are openings. Also, keep stalking. I've had success getting ADRs at all different times and days.

I 2nd trying Open Table for Disney Springs. I got Raglan Road that way.

As for the other Disney places, that's gonna be a busy week (I will be there part of the week) and I had trouble getting some popular things at the 60 day mark. I keep looking as I know people will cancel occasionally.

Definitely check the day/night before. Many people change there plans and cancel to avoid the no show fee. I usually see availability at all the must do’s at some point the day before. Just need to check a lot and signing up for alerts will help.
