Complementary Upgrade?

Has anyone asked an got a Complementary upgrade from a Moderate to a Deluxe Resort???

My understanding from other post is that only happens when they are doing construction or if there is some reason they (meaning Disney) need to move you. (convention or large groups of people needing the same resort). I think you have a better chance of being upgraded to a better room than a better resort. We have never had either happen. There are some really good discount for the Deluxe resorts if you are going from now to early 2003 though. Check mousesavers.com.

I agree with mep319 - this past February we were booked at POR - in a king-bedded room. Disney had over-sold the kings and we wouldn't accept a double bedded room (beds are too small) so they moved us over to a 1br @OKW.

Good marketing ploy on the part of Disney though....we loved OKW so much, we bought into DVC!

Hi! We were offered an upsell rate once. I went to book a moderate and they offered us the AKL for not that much more, so we took it.
