I love DW as you can see since I go every year but PLEASE STOP IT Disney! i have never used dining plan because I like to relax and not think a lot and enjoy. With the dp you need to have a cpa along with a good calculator. Now you have the FP system that requires all kinds of concentration, worry, stress. Then you add the chip in the refillable mug for Pete's sake. Yes I see cheaters but we buy mugs every visit. We also spill drinks, slug drinks before our alloted seconds and we even get icky flat drinks that need to be replaced before we return to our table. What next?:scared:

I haven't seen any news about time between refills with the rapid fill rollout- and honestly I agree with the insane planning, but it will be nice to top off my mug when we swing by the Poly for a dole whip or through SSR or OKW on our way back from DTD :)

I like your user name. Not a flame, just an observation.

I didn't use the space, I didn't want anyone to think I was my wife.

1) Would much rather save 30-35% off the room than get involved in the Dining Plan. Not worth the hassle, stress or $$$ to even begin to think about it for our family.

2) Sooo glad our trip is in 9 days.

3) Water really is a beautiful thing!

;)

:thumbsup2 feeling your pain

I, too, love Disney. And I, too, just posted a complaint earlier today. No need to flame - it's okay to get upset, especially when this is (for most of us, anyway), a big expenditure/the only vacation being taken all year.

Because we have kids with Celiac (and one has the added bonus of being an Aspie), we do buy the dining plan. I like the food at Disney, I like being able to escape the heat and I don't relish the idea of paying through the nose for a burger and fries...and possibly waiting in a long line with an Aspie for said burger and fries. It's happened. No fun. Do I wish I could walk up to a TS restaurant and get a table? ABSOLUTELY! Do I wish I didn't have to worry about ADRs 180 days before I'm on property (and might not know exactly what I want 6 months ahead of time)? ABSOLUTELY! Do I wish the prices weren't so insane? You bet! Do I hate wasting an hour and a half every time we want a meal? Ugh, most certainly.

Same with Fast Pass - it drives us bonkers sprinting to popular rides in the hopes we might get on sometime before the end of the day (and hopefully not smack in the middle of toddler's naptime). But then, I guess the possibility of getting on without much of a wait is better than standing in a 2-hour line for Toy Story Mania. :confused3

Wait, I have a great idea! Instead of dining plans and 180 day ADRs, perhaps Disney could institute a FP system for the TS restaurants! You want to eat at Le Cellier? Run like mad after rope drop to see if you *might* get a table at 3pm! CRT? You'd better put on your running shoes and elbow the slowpokes out of the way if you want a FP guaranteeing you a spot for dinner. :rotfl2:

Wait! That joke wasn't a shot at you! I'm frustrated with some other WDW stuff myself. When it's this expensive, it's hard not to get upset about little annoyances. :grouphug:

Shhhhhhhh! Don't give the Disney execs any more ideas. :rotfl:

 I thought of that after I said it. I'm sure they've thought about this.

I've often thought CMs secretly videotape us trying to make ressies at midnight on day 180, banging our heads when the automated phone system doesn't recognize our name/date of birth/shoe size and kicks us into the 30-minute-wait to speak with a CM, running back to our hotels between rides to refill mugs and sprinting around like crazy people trying to get FPs. We must provide a ton of free entertainment. :lmao:

I understand what you mean. While these things are not "required", the hyper-planning in order to ensure you get what you want on a vacation takes the fun out of vacationing. Of all of them, reserving fastpasses is the dumbest and worst idea....and the limitation to go with it.
