Complaint - Please help!

to stick up for the scar actor.. my 15 year old DD (turned 15 the night we went to HHN) was chased by a chinsaw waving man.. I told him it was her birthday. He was calling out her name. She was screaming on the top of her lungs running as fast as she can :lmao: when he got to where he had to stop (not in his scareZone..) I thanked him. When I got to her, she was hysterical laughing.. that was the best part of her night! He personalized it .. he called her by name.. KILEY .. come back here.. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: so did he read her correctly when she was running and screaming.. yeah he did.. she loved every minute of it. Was she screaming, sure was... Sometimes they cannot tell if it is fear scream or fun scream... that is up to Mommy to see. If Mommy couldn't stop him, that was Mommy's fault. Do not bring 9 year olds to an event than complain they could not handle it.
On the night I went, 10/28, there were family's with strollers wondering why there was no baby swap for the houses???? I really wondered if they even read what they were getting themselves into... Their kids ranged in age from a few months old to about 9ish.. seemed like parents, their kids and their kids... very large family....and they were upset there were no baby swaps...

Exactly it stops the "my child found it too scary"

Maybe sign a release :lmao: this way in the event the under 13 cannot handle it, one cannot come back at Universal and complain about it.... :thumbsup2 I know I took mine at 12 and she didn't like it. I waited until this year to take her back.. and she loved it.

I have been to Universal quite a few times since they opened and never had a problem until the opening weekend of HHN. I sent a detailed email to the Guest Servies' address that Phamton posted and they agreed that we were wronged and we discussed compensation. I (thinking out loud) asked for one thing and the counter offer was far beyond my expectations.
Morale:
If your complaint is legit Guest Services will listen and make it right.
You are correct! If your complaint is legit and you have the proof to back you up.
I know in May/June I stayed onsite at Disney and my stay was unacceptable (torn towels, bedspreads, drapes,). I took pictures of all my complaints and mailed them into guest services. I also sent them to my TA. I also posted them on the boards too for all to see. I was comped 20% of my total! I didn't expect that! I was very pleased. When I am paying for a certian quality or thing, I want that. I expect to get what I am paying for. I will not complain unless I have proof to back my complaints up. ;)

I hope all worked out for the OP that US comped them something.
Their night was basically ruined, so I would hope something good comes from that.

Their ticket system must have been not working well. The last two times we entered prior to park closing on HHN on our PAPs the machine would not read either of our cards.
Thank goodness one person with sense was at the gate both times. (The same man.)
The first time the team member told me I had to go to Guests Services (aka the Long Line of Wasted Time and Gloom) to have it corrected.
The male team member overrode the system and corrected the other stating that even their IDs were not working.

I think that is a great idea to just flat out not sell HHN tickets to anyone under 13, and state no admittance.
THEN maybe for the price of a HHN ticket they could have separate activity for kids/preteens, even at the resorts maybe like an evening tour or Halloween rides. something.
