Can you explain what you mean by "upgrade at port"? Is this a free upgrade? Do you ask for it? Does anyone know how often this happens? Any way to increase your chances?

This is if there is any space in a "higher" category you can upgrade (generally for a lot less $$ than if you booked that cat..in advance)..

You must arrive early to do so, and there is not often space to move up...

There really is not much to do for a free upgrade, hope and pixie dust..

We get them from a local party store! You can purchase them 1 in a package or 50! Also, Oriental Trading Company sells them online!
