Comped at Camelot Inn!

In August '06, I had reserved a family suite at Camelot Inn for April 4-6 so we could celebrate DD's 18th birthday at DL - her favorite place in the world! When we checked in at 9 am on the 4th, we were told we would have two adjoining rooms instead of a suite...we thought "fine" as then we would have two bathrooms. When we returned at 4 to get into the rooms, we discovered they were smoking rooms when our reservations had clearly stated non-smoking. We were told the hotel was full and they would bring up air purifiers. Because the air purifiers did not help remove the cigarette stench from 1 of the rooms, 1/2 of our party was moved to another room at 10 pm (even though they were full and couldn't move us at 4!) They also guaranteed us a family suite for the next night...which meant we had to pack up our things on the morning of the 5th which was DD's Birthday She and her BF went into the parks without us as we finished packing up. We also asked to speak to the general manager who, of course, was not available but we were assured he would be informed of our situation.

When we returned at 2 pm to move into our suite, we were told the manager comped the first night!! They did rectify this mess of a situation; in the future we will double check before we arrive and when we arrive. If you have future reservations at Camelot Inn you may want to do the same!
