Does anyone have any opinions on the Compass 510 booster. I'm thinking of getting on to take on our Disney trip in February. DD (4.5) is still using her Britax Marathon but I don't want to lug 2 of those on our trip (we'll be taking DD 2.5's Marathon). She meets the height/weight requirements to use a booster, but I'm keeping her in the Marathon on a daily basis as long as possible. She'll eventually be in a booster, and I like this one, but I wanted to get some opinions.

P.S. I know she can't use the booster on the plane - it's for in the rental car.

I don't have one but it is well loved in the carseat obsessed community! It folds which makes it nice for travel. It was not rated well on the recent booster study but most of the folks who have them say it positions the seat belt very well. YOu would just need to try it out with your little one and see how she fits. I would get it before you go and practice with her in the booster a few times before you head out.

Another option woudl be the Graco Turbobooster. It tends to fit smaller/younger kiddos pretty well. It comes apart so you could actually take the back off and put both pieces in a bag and gate check it. I'm not sure if it would fit in an overhead bin but it might!

We got one a few months ago and it's okay. I chose it because I need something fairly slim profile and it looked like it might provide better sleeping head support than some of the others (it doesn't, he just flops). I don't love it, but I don't know that I'd love any other booster either. It seems to do what it's supposed to do pretty well and my son loves it. He thinks it's an upgrade from the Britax Regent he had because this one has arm rests and cup holders, LOL.

We do have a Graco Turbobooster as well and I do think it's better than that. It feels much more solid and has much better support for his body. Both seem to position the build in the same way across him. The Compass holds the seat belt better at the shoulder - with the Graco, I'm always having to reposition the belt back into the little hole before I buckle the belt. So, in that regard, the Compass makes for easier use.

We also have some other brand one that lives in the grandparents car. Can't remember the brand, but it's super cheap at Wal-Mart. Super cheap doesn't make for a sturdy booster seat. It still positions the belt okay, but it's definitely not going to last long.

I have 2 Compass B510 (comes with the carry bag that is still in it's bag). I also have 8, yes 8, Graco Turbo Boosters, and 2 Radian carseats. We use the TurboBoosters in grandma, babysitter and godparents' cars.

I have the Compasss seats in my car. When I bought them, there was a substantial difference between them and the 500 and 505s (less cushioning in these). I origianlly bought them for grandma's as the backup seats. She didn't like them becuase they were too heavy and too bulky she thought. I do not. I like the sturdiness of the booster seats compared to the Graco seats.

I like them. I think they offer very good support. The belt positions on the boys very nicely. The boys also usually get the seatbelt right, unlike whet they do on the Graco seats. I like the fold-up armrests too. I finally like the fact that they fold up. Unlike the cheaper seats, they stay together and you just have to open thm (not put them back together) and you're ready to go.

I would have bought them for other people as well, if not for the cost.

I have a B530 and really like it and would recommend it. I was not as inpressed with the B505 or B510 when I looked at them. The B530 seemed more sturdy and was definitely better padded. I also like the adjustable height feature on the back.

We have a Gracoturbo booster in DH's car and I do not care for it and neither does my son.

They both seem to position the belt well (though I agree the belt does have to be repositioned often with the Graco), but DS says the Graco is not comfortable.

I have one for my DS and love it. I bought it specifically with our trip to DW last July in mind, since it folds up, and have been very pleased with it. Very sturdy, well padded. My son prefers it more than the Gracos in DH's and Grandma's cars.

The fold up armrests are great when you have to lean over to buckle them in. Folding the booster itself is easy, and it travels very well. I highly recommend it, we've been very pleased with ours.
