Comparisons of rooms/amenities in different hotels?

Forgive me if this is already posted elsewhere. I can't seem to find good info on hotel rooms/amenities/room size/beds etc, without thoroughly digging into one resort at a time. Seems like there ought to be a comparison somewhere. All I'm finding on the Disney site is a very general comparison of deluxe vs moderate vs value resorts.

We will be in WDW at the end of September, early October, for one week. We'll have a 7-turning-8yo and a 2yo, and plan to spend most of our time at MK. We really want to be close to MK for this reason. It looks like the Contemporary or Poly are our best choices, because we already know we don't want to stay at the GF or WL. Aren't there any moderate resorts in the MK area? I can't seem to find any.

They have great hotel info there. There are not really any moderate price resorts in the MK area, only deluxes and the rest are all a bit of a drive away. Check all ears, this site and Mousesavers.com for discounts and codes, you might be able to get a good deal on a deluxe.

Of the ones near MK, FW is the cheapest, followed by the CR wings.
