Visiting WDW - CBR next August and considering wether to change resort as the main pool is closed. (modrate only) We do tend to spend quite a lot of time at the pool with the boys so it's an important factor for us.

There are some mixed reviews on all three resorts so wondering if you can give me your opinions with regard to location of pools and general poolside facilities.

We stayed at AKL a couple of years ago and loved the fact that everything was right beside the pool.

If you are planing on lot sof pool time, CSR is the mod with the best pool and slide.

At CBR and CSR most likely you will have a long walk from your room to the pool and dining areas.

I think you will be very disappointed in the level of service between AKL and CBR/CSR (ie non-existant). Not sure about POFQ since I have never been there but suspect service is not much better.

We recently stayed at CBR and went to AKL for a breakfast buffet. The difference between the two resorts was night and day.

Prior stays at WDW resorts have been FWC, WL and CSR. My preference would be AKL or stay off site at a timeshare or Universal resort (RP, PB).

I've not stayed at CBR yet and don't plan to, with no elevators and me liking the top floor doesn't sound like a good mix. I have stayed at both CSR and POFQ. I wasn't fond of CSR. We were in Casita 3, halfway between the main building and bus stop 2. It was a hike to the main pool and hot tub, so we only did that once. With POFQ everything is very close and it has its own bus stop at MK in the evening.

Just for the record, I have been to CSR and would stay their again. They do have a nice pool but the slide was closed the couple of times we went to the pool :confused3 It was a hike to the pool from where they put us but you may be able to drive and park close by for a shorter walk to the pool and market. They have carts that *might* be able to transport you around, but they were always full or driver sped by - very frustrating :sad2:

I would never stay at CBR again.

You won't find the service experience the same as AKL (Deluxe) as at the moderates. It was really horrible at CBR.

Of the three listed, I would go with CSR! Great bus service, awesome food options and the best pool/slide combo of all the mods. CSR has great CM's that provide awesome service and attention.

No shared transportation like POFQ and the pool at CBR will be closed for a good part of next year.

I would say if you are going to be spending a lot of time at the pool that maybe CBR isn't for you next year. They are adding slides to several of the quiet pools.

CBR is a beautiful resort and you will find many happy guests in the CBR FAQ thread link below.
