I was finally able to get back to my search for a vacation home (after starting back to school in Sept). We needed 1. pet friendly 2. sleep 10 and 3. has own pool... so that really didnt' leave us with too many to choose from.

I was searching vrbo. If anyone has another place to search please let me know...I try to look at many of the recommendations posted here but they usually do not accept pets or sleep to few (over 10 and the price goes way up!)

Which area do you think is most convenient to WDW...

Emerald Isle
Indian Creek
Indian Ridge
Alamonte Springs

Thanks for any info!

Definitely any of your first 3 areas :thumbsup2

Altamonte Springs is north of WDW...?? I think :teeth:

Just put in the community you would like, and click yes for pet friendly:)

www.orlandovillas.com
www.villasflorida.com
www.fabvillas.com

has the pet friendly search feature too:)

And if you do a General Inquiry, and give a little info about your pet, some owners may allow - even though their info says not.

You will probably have to pay an increased security deposit abd/or cleaning fees.

And Kilee has put together this info too:

When are you planing on going to Florida? There are owners who do not advertise that they allow pets but will make the exceptions.
You wont be disappointed witht the top 3 neighborhoods. They are very close to the parks. The parks also offer kennels for the day while you are at the park and you can visit and feed and walk your dog yourself. I have not done this yet, but we are going the end of november and taking our dogs so I will let you know how the onsite kennels are.

I took Spicey and used the onsite kennels for 20 of his 21 years.

that final year I stayed at CWR which allows pets - so he won't have to be moved as much.

they are nice. the CM are friendly and try to be helpful.

I liked to feed him - because you can't know if your pet is eating normally if you don't feed him. Although they are happy to do it.

Spicey liked to walk - yes he was a cat - but he enjoyed his outside time. So I would recommend either Epcot or FW - if you pet likes to walk. the one for the MK (TTC) is nice too but cats don't like noise and the bus terminal is directly behind this one.

We planned on going to Sea World and try thier kennel for the one day! The rest of the time my girls will stay in the house. They are fine and house broken so I am sure that they will not have a problem staying in the house.

JMurphy- Shoot me and email FLParadisevilla@aol.com. Let me see if I can help you find a great home that will allow pets!

We are renting a house from ourfloridavacationhomes dot (then com....you get the idea ;) )

They are VERY family friendly. We have not rented from there before but the homes are nice and REALLY reasonable. I checked the site and it does not mention pets, but they list phone #s and emails to contact them. Can't hurt to ask.

Thanks for all the info (Karen, I sent you a email)

I checked out the homes at ourfloridavaca...etc ...the price is unreal...I'll have to keep them in mind. It's just a little further than I originally wanted but definitley well worth a look.

spiceycat what is CRW? oops I mean CWR
