We're planning to stay at the GCH in Nov so I've been on the Disney site comparing prices. I notice that when I search prices for hotel and tickets together and then search them separately that there's a difference in the price - what am I missing? Is there something more that you get when you buy together as a package?

Any given package will have its own set of little perks, and those should be explained wherever you're thinking of booking. Check those out and figure out if it would be of value to you.

It's always important to find the TOTAL cost, including taxes, etc, for all the options of any trip you take; sometimes a package turns out to be better, and other times a la carte works out better (especially if you're thinking to ultimately get an AP and there are AP rates during your intended stay). You just have to work it all out, do the math, see if the perks are worth it, and book as soon as you find a price you like! (I once waited, and literally overnight the prices shot up. that was not fun. book when you find the price. don't wait.)

In my experience you ca almost always save my booking things yourself and piece by piece
Time of yr plays a big part too on discounts/perks
But a package is easy and great for those so dont want to worry

Had the same issue last July, seemed when we booked hotel and tickets together, it was way more expensive then hotel and tickets separate. All i did was call them and added the tickets at the price the website had. Love Disney's Customer Service by the way, BEST EVER!!!!
