Just thought I'd pass along my rates.
We are staying at the AKL starting on Oct. 14 for 6 nights. We have a savanna view bunk bed room. Prices include tax but I left off the cents.
Rack rate: $2498
AAA rate: $2247
Pin rate: $2058
AP rate: $1991
I am going with the pin code rate since buying the AP will cost me $221 more than our 6 day passes, and we will not be making another trip within a year.
Interestingly I tried 2 other times to get a pin rate after I got the pin code in the mail a few weeks ago and was told that there was no discount for AKL savanna rooms. I decided to ask again today (when I was calling about the AP rate) and she was able to apply the pin code. Both previous times that I called the agent said that rooms do not open up on pin codes and so I would never be able to get the discount.
The agent today changed the discount code on my existing reservation and the pin code rate popped up. I'm not sure if the other agents did it this way or just looked up rates with the pin code and saw nothing at the AKL savanna view.
Maybe tomorrow I'll get a better Disney Visa discount but I am very satisfied.
